Especially when you're sending PBN informations I think there are huge footprints.

Whether or not gmail uses this information, is it really worth the risk when you can take 5 minutes out of your day to further secure a large investment. This is a business, regardless of whether it's likely that google is snooping manually or algorithmically, taking 5 minutes to protect yourself is well worth it.

First, the privacy policy is non binding, it's only a reference for users. You can't take Google to court if their humans read your mail. They provide it for "free", you can't demand anything, there is nothing legally stopping anyone at Google from reading your mail. It may be their policy to only allow certain people to, but they sure can read it legally - it's their servers, their resources and their software.
Secondly, this is not a "trivial aspect". Search is the only product Google has a firm grasp on the market on. Search quality is Google's #1 top priority.
Thirdly, SEO directly affects ads sales. Ads sales are Google's main income source. Again this is not a "trivial aspect", this is Google's main business.
Fourth, if you think Google would rather waste millions of U$ sifting through Googlebot mined data, rather than look into a simple mailbox and find all the black hat domains neatly handed to them, you have no idea how business works. Why would they take the more difficult route at fighting "link spam"?
Maybe they do link analysis for 99% of their work, but they DO target specific networks every now and then and when they do, you bet your ass they read your Gmail inbox.

Normally when gaming a company, it is important to avoid all of their products. In the case of Google, avoid gmail and other secondary products that they support.

Let this be a lesson and example for the entire blackhat community. NOBODY should be using any Google products for any SEO related activities whatsoever, the risk is high and the benefit of Gmail is a minimal amount of convenience.

Why wouldn't they? If they can simply search mailboxes for the link reports, why would they analyze 1 trillion links and web pages if they have this information directly? Google likes to waste time and money?
If you imagine they don't use Gmail data to bust networks, you have no idea how business works, period. It's legal, they can do it legally, it's their servers, their infrastructure, their email software...everything in Gmail belongs to Google including your messages.
Eric Schmidt their former CEO said "if you want to keep something private, don't put it on the internet". Interpret that and let us know what it means.

They don't even have to "search" emails. They have pre-existing tech that crawls ALL your emails to deliver ad's. All they would have to do is run that SAME info through their organic algorithm and look for footprints.
In fact I'd say that if they AREN'T doing this they are stupid. I personally believe 100% that they can and will leverage gmail to improve their organic algo. If not now, then eventually.
If you don't believe me then try this. Create two new gmail accounts. Do NOTHING but writing emails from one to the other with VERY specific backlinks to a certain niche. Then watch as you start seeing ad's that match that niche.

Taking sides on whether G does or does not use you email data: completey LAME. How the hell could you know if they do?
On the other hand: using machine lerarning algorythms (that are already implemented in search products) I would never be 100% that they would never give an attempt to try to extract some impartant info. Maybe they do not do it today. Will they still not be doing it in 2016? I am not s sure. All I am sure of, is that they will not, and will not have to broadcast the fact that they are in fact using your data. They have everything to do it, no need for persmission, approval, etc.

Actually we could conduct a case study.
If 30 or more people have an odd site or two to spare, create a fake PBN from 20 sites, link out to the remaining 10 legit sites then create a Gmail account with a name like [email protected], then that account sends out email reports saying links have been placed etc
If any action is taken against those sites, then watch a new version of NEGSEO start, where people create GMAIL accounts and send out fake link reports to real sites with their real (legit) backlinks.
EDIT: I just reread what I posted, and you might not be able to make sense of what I am getting at, I am too tired to rewrite it, so I hope you got the gist of it.

I don't think Google would need to read text such as "private blog network" because all they would need is the long lists of PBN links. If 100's of emails are sent, all with different combonations of the same 20 sites, mentioning the URN of the paid backlink Google could simply read the URL's and relate the coincidence of their appearance together along with the URL of the paid link inside them all being the same.
