SEO Panel in Hostgator Vs BH SEO

I am (very) slowly managing to get to grips with the methods & advice in this black hat SEO section of the forum, and starting to put my own 1st attempts together.

I've noticed with hostgator that there's an SEO panel with various things including 'Attracta' which they advertise with the following quote:

"When it comes to SEO tools there's nobody better than Attracta. We've had sites go from a Page Rank of two to a Page Rank of seven."

I've done a BHF search of 'attracta' in titles and can't find anything anywhere. My question is this, if anyone can help...

Do members with experience (who started out or are still with hostgator) ignore this SEO panel completely, or is it worth ticking the boxes as well as working with the more enterprising SEO discussed in this section (such as scrapebox)?

I would not recommend paying for SEO until you get a good understanding yourself. Even then, i would use software/bots and outsourcing for the repetitive tasks rather than hire a SEO company as they seem to charge a fair bit.

Many thanks for taking the time.. I was suspicious when I didn't find a squeak about it on here (as hostsgator seems popular when starting out)

It seems that they used to be called AutomaticSiteMap -- All it does it creates a sitemap for you and submits it to Google...

You can do this on your own, probably shouldn't play around with any free trials, maybe hostgator has some terms in their contract with you that they can charge you for it
