No, they don't — and here's why:

Pre-packaged SEO is built for scale, not results. The provider follows the same checklist for every client: 20 keywords, 5 articles, 10 links. Repeat.

But Google now ranks authority, not activity. And authority can't be templated.

What kills packaged SEO:

· No competitive analysis — your niche's needs are ignored
· Generic content — AI slop with no real expertise
· Toxic links — mass-built backlinks that hurt more than help
· Zero brand strategy — traffic with no retention = wasted money

The only SEO that works now is custom-built: technical foundation + brand authority + content only you could write.

Packages profit the seller. Strategy profits the client.

The problem is all those paid links are on the websites that have millions of backlinks on them. Therefore it passes almost zero authority to you, because Google looks at the amount of outgoing backlink domains, eg. does a website link to 3 domains or 30 000 domains?
