So I played around with SEO probably 5-7 years ago, did the Amazon affiliate micro niche sites. Had a few that were semi profitable but when a Google update hit and sandboxed them all I decided to walk away... Fast forward quite a few years later and I'm back now trying to figure out how to rank a site for something that I am selling in a semi competitive niche. You guys are probably thinking this is a please spoon feed me how to backlink post but it isnt. I am fully willing to buy SEO packages from the market place instead of going through the learning process all over again, my real question is how do you decide who to trust with these packages? Past experience in other things tells me not to trust reviews alone because alot of times they are bought with free or discounted services, so how should I really be deciding which packages to trust? Hopefully this kind of post is allowed and is in the right section, if not I am very sorry and please move or delete it. Thanks for your help guys

Determine a few packages you want to buy and ask for samples if they allow. Keep watch of the seller's comments when people ask them tough questions or if a buyer says the package doesn't work and see how they respond. Think if that response is acceptable in real life. If someone tells you how amazing their product is and charges more than the average packages out there and after 2 months you don't see any positive results and the seller say 2 months is too little to see any results, would that be acceptable to you? Or if someone says they spent alot of money making it but there is a product recall since it is unsafe, would you accept that as an excuse?

SEO Packages are Typically Bad for Your Brand , Packages Ignore Your In-House Competencies ,
Packages are only about Big Numbers That Look Impressive

There is no such thing as all-in-one solution unless you hire an agency.

Packages can play part in your SEO strategy but it must be you who will put things together.

I suggest you update your knowledge before you proceed.

Otherwise you will probably just end up wasting time, money and posting garbage at your site with 0 results.

Are there also agencies or people on the marketplace and I'm just overlooking it? I get emails all the time about people who will rank your site for you, but it's hard to give any consideration into someone whose forced to spam email addresses just to find work, I'd rather find someone reputable

I think you should go for some small companies or startups.
I'm saying this because small companies show full dedication for the work and try to give the result as fast as possible. Also those small companies or startups are willing to show their working skills so they will charge very less amount for the work they will do.

What is your recommendation on finding one?
