SEO Packages that work

I see so many promising SEO package offers but do they work? I've got a competitive travel keyword string (yes, just one) that I want to rank but I'd like to hear from others that have used a service with success. Do any of those packages guys ever offer a trial keyword to prove they can actually do what they promise?

Read through Case Studies and Journey Threads.

They provide good insight of what works and what does not.

Reviews on the service by other customers are posted on the threads.

Search the forum for types of services you are looking for and compare them.

Look at your funds and see what you have the budget for and take it from there.

I have a decent budget for a few highly competitive terms and was looking for some recommendations because there are so many offers and the reviews mostly seem to be just so-so. Trial keyword meaning let me start with one keyword string and lets see you work your magic, if you can then we will will ramp up. I'm not going to drop $500 on a package only to find out that it's not worth it.

Sarcasm and snarkiness aside, any recommendations? I'm thinking that a PBN is the way to go right now but very open to suggestions.
 
You aren't willing to drop $500 on a package, so you're not willing to risk money to rank for a competitive keyword that could make you much more than that??? Seeing that you are brand new here, I will tell you that you can find a lot of valuable information in this forum, I myself found a great SEO connection where I can rank my sites very quickly. SEO is not FREE. SEO is not magic, SEO involves hard work, strategic link building, and some good connections. $500 is your monthly budget? For one keyword that might be doable, but how is the quality of your website? Does is convert?
 
To be honest your best of sticking with services from well known members on the forum... You get the service and back up if needed then!

Remember they are well known for a reason, not just because they are the cheapest and best bang for buck...

To answer your question

You need to start networking and finding out via word of mouth. I find a good chunk of reviews are because OP provided something free in exchange for a good review. I don't trust reviews one single bit unless they're from people I know don't care for such nonsense.

The best way is to check the shit list for names to see if they've been in trouble before and why. Use dork codes in google to find more information about the seller, talk to them on skype, ask others if they've seen results from them before.

That is how it is done.
 
I will recommend you to go through reviews first and when you are looking at reviews, make sure that most of reviews are coming from reputed and old members and if you see a lot of great reviews then ask for the sample work.After getting the samples, you can decide whether to use a service or not.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm looking to weed out the garbage and find someone that I can try one keyword string with, if that works out then I'm gong to increase the budget and also bring a few more clients into the mix. I currently have 3 other clients that I do traditional marketing and web development for that are interested.

SkyRocketSEO, I was only pointing out that you misinterpreted my point or perhaps I should have been more clear but your response was neither helpful or respectful.

This is a bad analogy but when dealing with SEO it's sort of like a drug deal, I give you money and hope you are not selling me Oregano or rat poisoning. I don't know until the money has been handed over so I'm reaching out and saying hey, users (not sellers), who do you recommend and was their stuff any good? Also, what product did you buy?

Check the reviews of reputed members, ask few questions -- That is it.
 
Aim for quality over quantity every time, even though it costs more and can take longer, you will maintain good rankings for a long time as opposed to a short stay.

99% of all BST services have minimum two or three packages so you could get the smallest one to give it a try. If it gives your website a significant raise, than it is for you.

And the other thing... We all here are called "Blackhatters" but I see that most users here have higher ethics than most business owners. I think what you want is giving your monthly budget to someone an hearing that your site will be on first page. Most SEO agencies will tell you that, but it is a lie. The risk is always yours and we - "blackhatters" - at least say directly.
