hey i was wondering about if its worth it to build a site on the i.c.p blockchain rather than wordpress or shopify. Anyone been thinking about the full onchain web and how it may be connected to SEO ? i have no idea thanks.

Building a website on the internet computer is not going to give you an advantage in search.
 
Interesting question. Building fully on-chain with ICP is definitely forward-thinking. It’s still early days, so SEO on decentralized platforms is kind of uncharted territory. WordPress and Shopify still have the edge for traffic and tools, but experimenting with ICP could put you ahead if Web3 adoption picks up.
 
Yes, building a site on the I.C.P blockchain can be worth it as it offers more security and decentralization compared to WordPress or Shopify. Probably one of the worst chains to build anything on, it has a terrible reputation. Look at the all time price chart to see why.
 
thanks guys, i should have screenshotted it but someone here posted a very indepth comparison, but the post is now removed, almost as if the powers that be dont want people realizing what icp is, the new cloud. Rivaling aws and google hosting etc

not sure im a total noobie lol, my intuition tells me future proofing and the possibility of having an age bonus to the site as if the decentralized web may reward the few people that have sites up, who knows maybe it might pay off big time but still a big gamble.
