I'm looking for a good read that shows step by step SEO when starting a new site

Can someone recommend some tutorials?

btw, I mostly do Wordpress blogs

I really do believe you just need to read these forums, this place is 1000 times better than any tutorial or ebook you can get.

You have a couple hundred of the best internet marketers in the world crawling these boards.

Pick there brains until you go crazy! lol :loco:

Just go through forum and you will find answers to every question... No need to spend money or go through some secret stuffs...

Remember two points:
1) no short cut if you are going into white hat, need hard work and dedication
2) secret ingredient of secret recipe is "There is nothing secret"... LOL

Totally agree! If you have half a brain and are willing to work at it, experiment with techniques... save your money to invest into a website.. Then this forum is the best place for you to read, implement, screw up, read some more, screw up again, then read some more and finally make some cash.

Your not going to find an e-book that will %100 make you cash.

If your good with wordpress, you can start with Either CPA or Adsense. Find a good Niche and a template with decent CTR... just to start. Start small, build some links to a site.. rank it.. make $1-5 a day... Then reinvest to scale up.

Tons of knowledge here in that field... tons of other fields as well.

Hope that makes sense. It's 530 am here and Im just waking up :bigeyes: coffee is just kicking in.

Hi what threads would you guys suggest that we start on? What are your favorites when you we're a noob before? (This is also goes to the others who wants to answer as well) Thanks in advance! :)
 
How to become pro? a good question, the answer is simple.. Learn more.. and learn more. everyone know that BHW forum is GREAT!
 
I'd suggest starting a test page, pick a simple keyword that doesn't seem to have a lot of competition or traffic, and try to rank it #1 based on the things you learn here. It may take a while, you may fail, but you learn as you go. I spent a lot of time reading up on SEO and ebooks, but I didn't start really learning it until I had 20 clients depending on me to getting them ranked high, it just takes a lot of practice and patience.
 
I have around 60 adult blogs all hand written. around 20 of them rank on the 1st page of google and 5 of them move between 2nd and 10th position depending on the day.

I attribute my success to luck and a little bit of knowledge. What I have learned recently is not to always use the same anchor when trading hardlinks. my good ranking sites went downhill after getting around 30 backlinks with the same keyword.

I made a spreadsheet to monitor anchors used and am planning on using 50% main keywords, 35% secondary keywords and 15% using various related keywords

when starting a new blog, I don't research what keyworrds to use or see what competition is out there for the niche I want to work on. I just wing it.

This is mostly what I need to work on, the starting of the new site thing.

What should I start with?
 
how do I know if a theme I chose has a high CTR? You guys have some themes to recommend?
 
You've already got the first step to becoming a pro - choosing a name like "rick diculous".

All you need now is experience. I've never used any guru crap or read manuals, just trial and error. Don't be afraid to fail, keep reading the posts on this forum, and you should succeed.
 
Rick Diculous by the far the best book I have read about on site SEO is Get to the Top of Google by David Viney. For off site the best advice I can give is to keep reading the forums and pick up tricks and tips from others.
