SEO Journal/Case Study

You have a lot of great info on here; I am just surprised that more people have not posted on this thread. Probably because it more for the high-tech audience? Keep up the good work Siek.

Thanks. Yeah.. I can't figure out why theres no real discussion going on either. Thats what I was hoping, but no one really asks anything haha

You have written everything in very detail whatever you are doing.. that may be the reason..
I am already subscribed and read through email..

Any fear that akismet is banning you. Why not bigger scrapebox blasts?
What i have seen now is that max 10 Links to moneysite getting indexed each day. Could be more of them.

Ahh lol well I hope thats the case

Any fear that akismet is banning you. Why not bigger scrapebox blasts?

Well i'm not worried about akismet because I'm not blasting my money site directly with SB. I've only blasted the tier 1 and 2 sites. And i'm sure many of those web 2.0 sites are going to die off, but as soon as I get everything all setup nicely, then i'll have layers and layers of links building to the money site and eventually move up and dominate the keywords I want (i hope). Then again, I don't even know if people will follow my tiers straight through to my money site, but i'd think they wouldn't. But, if it does that so be it - I don't want to waste my time worrying about that. Plus with WP BB - I have my landing page setup where most blog owners wouldn't think of it as spam. (but thats just what I think).

Now that my SERP assist diagram template is pretty much done, I can blast deep links or build to the money site ever other week or I can even build huge networks to my tier 1 sites. My goal here is to be as random as possible.

SB - I know I can probably blast alot more links to my money page, but I wanted to see how powerful link juice would be if i kept building large layers like that. I'm not blasting alot as of right now. I want to work smarter rather than harder. If i have a nice approval rate with my landing page, then I can get more links for each blast. With consistent harvesting and blasting, to me it's not worth it.

Current Rank/Indexing
  • Main Keyword: 106
  • Secondary Keyword: 86
  • Alright, it finally looks like Google has placed my domain where it wants. I haven't seen anymore dramatic changes since it hitting the low 88. However, when i check my index in a span of 10 min - the rank changes every time +/- 10 rankings. But it is not consistently moving up the SERPS anymore.

Index Case Study
  • Alright in the next day or so after all my SerpAssist urls are created, i'll seperate each one into groups of 3-4 nodes making 4 groups (15 nodes total). All links are all created roughly at the same time (probably about a week span) and have the same spun content (12 different articles spun all linking to thier main 1st tier website)
  • I will not be doing any pinging or social bookmarketing to my 1st tier sites. All promotion will be done through my second tier websites. In each group I will promote them 4 different ways to test out the best way to index:
  • 1) Scrapebox Autoapprove link spam (a rather large list - haven't decided how big, but just think big for now)
  • 2) linklicious + Ping + Social bookmark created RSS feeds as they are created in a span of a week or two.. not too sure how many will show up
  • 3) links2rss.com + ping + social bookmark
  • 4) Backlink Energizer posting in a span of a week or two..again not too sure how long they'll be posting, but i'll post as soon as i find more information

Today
  • RSS Submission (40)
  • SerpAssist - I finished my link diagram @ 15 nodes and submitted the rest of the web 2.0 for completion. Based on what i've seen lately, this should be completed in the next day or so.
  • SB - Ran an autoapprove list of 5042 of which 1554 was posted successfully. I will remove the successful links from the list and rerun the failed ones (failed most likely cause of public proxies). Added several proxy sources to keep me from NOT using the internal public proxies that SB provides. Those public proxies are probably used and abused from most SB users and they die out pretty fast.
  • Updated my money site and added a WP plugin that add more "interactive web media" type of content aka youtube flicker etc etc to my posts
  • Backlinker - Not using captcha still. Did about 1200 links in the last 24 hours. I ran a second backlinker and hit go on that one as well.

Things I keep pushing off
  • This below list is more for me to remember what I need to do...
  • I need to find more PLRs and spin those.. I need around 24 plr articles (~1000 words each - 1 link) so I can create 2 campaign in SerpAssist and will probably point 1 to my money site and 1 to a deep link (i'll just pick one that was dominating a long tail keyword, but lost position. I found the post that was doing well by looking at my statcounter.com and checking recent keywords (which show the post from my site).
  • Backlink Eng accounts (case study)
  • Article Directories
  • Forum Profiles/Links (High PR)
  • Video Submission (Youtube, etc)

SB
  • I went on google and found some autoapprove SB lists. I found one in particular that had around 12K links. I opened them all up and I thought to myself... theres alot of unique domains on this one. I figured that if each one was a autoapprove WP blog...that the other posts on that blog are most likely autoapprove as well.
  • So i grabbed a link.. trimmed it to its root domain... searched on google with the following:
  • Site:URL.com
  • and found about 500+ posts are that site which I then ran through blog analyzer and 90% of them were postable. I then went back to the autoapprove list and found only 2 of those blog post in that list. I haven't posted to this blog list yet, but I don't think it'll run into any problems.
  • Essentially you can take a list of autoapprove blogs and find your own autoapprove list without going through all the hassle of post and then rechecking the link like many others have done
  • I may have just gotten lucky with that link, but I will continue to do this and see what else comes up

Willing to Trade: SerpAssist Blast (15 Nodes = 375 Total Links | 1st - 15 | 2nd - 360) for 10 1000 word Article
  • I was thinking of the best way to streamline my linking building and I figured I can offer people reading this journal an offer. I am willing to do a SA Blast for you and your target URL in exchange for 10 - 1000 word article (doesn't even need to be spun - I can do that myself) all in a word document. I will provide you with the niche and you go find me the articles. The articles must be a mash up of several articles together to get them as unique as possible. The diagram is the same template I posted a picture of.
  • Your campaign will be set to be completed over a span of a week and I will provide you with the URL and Account report as soon as it's done.
  • I am only offering this to as many campaigns I can handle. Please PM me if you're interested and i'll send you a niche to find the articles for. If you have any questions let me know.
  • You'll receive the setup below except the bulk blogs. All web 2.0s are RANDOMLY picked

Thanks!

I am interested in getting you those articles for trade. I like what you are doing here; I want to see this turned into a PDF afterwords when complete

Good Stuff. I believe SA's servers are currently down and hopefully will be up very soon. You will definitely see this in a PDF if I make Page 1 - Rank 1 :). Things are slowly coming together and my link building is getting more automated and "redundant". Thanks

Current Rank/Indexing
  • Main Keyword: 105
  • Secondary Keyword: 73

Index Case Study
  • SA has locked me out as I think their service is down. From what I updated this morning, theres only 2 more nodes that need to be completed. This case study will most likely have to wait another day before I go hard.

Acronyms from now on:
  • I can't stand writing the names of everything so from now on:
  • BL = Backlinker
  • SB = Scrapebox
  • RSS (#) = Submission to RSS Submit
  • SA = SerpAssist
  • SE = SeNuke
  • BE = Blog Energizer
  • L2R = Links2RSS

Today
  • RSS (40)
  • BL - 700 overnight
  • SB - Scraped blogs using the method in the last post about SB and found about 700 very high PR blogs. By high i mean there were at least 50% of them over PR4. From what I can see there were very minimal comments (Max 4 on each blog). I manually commented on a few of them right to my money page (checked links right afterwards and found out it went though moderation). My comments were related. I scanned through the auto approve blog and looked for a "good" url and came across a NEWS site - Scraped this using custom footprint site:URL.com/blog/ and checked PR and posted away. I submitted general comments to these blogs after I manually did a few all to my target page.
  • SA - Created the other half of my original. The first tier (15 nodes) were using 3 high spun articles. The second tier used 8 high spun articles. Seeing how my indexing was based on my first blast (it seems as though only 14 / 23 web 2.0s were indexed). I will look into why the others didnt index...could be the web 2.0 properties (those specific ones - in which case ill weed out). Or maybe my content was just too much garbage that google didnt like that. So for my next test, i'm going to use several more articles to see if that affects indexing. I also have to take into account the stuff i did to get those links noticed link with BE and L2R
  • BE - I just realized something that i should have relized a long time ago. The way BE works is that it post content to web 2.0 properties using RSS feeds as content and dropping your links there every hour or so (whatever you set it too). But i never considered looking at those BE web 2.0s and promoting those cause it wouldn't make sense to have all this points linking to that specific web 2.0 site if its not even indexed by google. In my case study I will make sure that those BE links DO get indexed and that they get A LOT of link juice.
  • Fivver - Found a great source for xrumer blasts - $5 for 7,500 tiered links. I haven't purchased any, but the guy is the only one on there and has been on there for several months with lots of reviews. This is a HUGE discount to what those links are actually worth.
  • SB - blasted about 5K autoapprove blogs to the tier 1/2 sites. When posting to SB autoapprove using pub proxies make sure you are retrying the failed blog comments again and again. I probably reloaded the filed ones 10-20 times to get as many blogs commented as possible. I probably weeded out another 30% of what failed from the original. I exported failed and reloaded the failed and clicked start posting again.

Well thats it for now and probably for today. If you are interested in trading articles for the SA link structure, hit me up. Please remember that I am limited to 8 Yahoo accounts per day (SA limit). Each trade uses all 8 yahoo accounts for that day to create their related sites. So I can pretty much handle 5-6 a week (as I want to post my own as well). Also, if you were wondering, the reason why i want to trade is because it takes alot longer to mash up those articles than to actually create this link diagram and submit. But in terms of value, i'm pretty sure you win lol I created 10 articles 1000 words mashup in probably about an hour after finding a PLR package and doing a ton of copying and pasting.

I THINK, that you are doing far more tiers, and web 2.0s than, profile links, article links, video links, forum post links. You should also add that, make Google think your authentic. Not just build a lot of web 2.0 tiers without any Juice

Now if this method ends up working is this adsense safe you think in terms if you get manual reviewed (assuming a information site) when they check backlinks or you think they even do that when you get manual reviewed by adsense or if they just check content and ad placement?
Also, why not try adding some directories straight to the money site? As I feel you need to vary up the types of links your building for it. The link pyramid is looking good though.

Current Rank/Indexing
  • Main Keyword: 93
  • Secondary Keyword: 31
  • Check out that secondary keyword :). This is a different situation though, one of my blog posts are ranking higher than the main URL. It ranks better because the blog post title has a word thats in the secondary keyword thats not in the main URL.
  • The main keyword keeps going up and down from 100. Still hasn't made any more significant jumps.
  • YE Backlinks: 14 - This is exactly what I like to see - Constant backlinking and YE slowly picking up the links as I keep going. It's only time that the Backlinks really get recognized. I try not to look at this number too much or it'll make me go off track and not concentrate as much on Backlinking

Index Case Study
  • Got my SA back, but I now have some stuck tasks that I gotta take care of before I start this. Maybe another day or two.

Expenses
  • I thought of something really interesting that people might want to know and that is my monthly expenses:
  • SS - $13 / m
  • BL - $25 / m
  • Dedi Server - $50 / m
  • Private Proxies - $45 / m (use alot with SB)
  • SA - $77 / m
  • Total = $210~ and I may be getting rid of my private proxies as I don't need it as much as I thought I would. I may go down to a shared proxy plan as thats all I need at this moment.
  • I have another income source which does pay for all these expenses, but I do like to try to keep a tab of what this all costs to see if this project is worth it.

Today/Yesterday
  • I haven't switched my internet provider yet, so I still have it for a few more days. Decided to update this thread.
  • I've been looking for other programs which can help me "diversify" my links at the same time stay very cost effective. I ended up picking up Sick Submitter - I was going to grab this a while back, but at the time it wasn't as developed as I would want it to be. They just released an update and it does quite a bit. It has all the link diversity that I have been missing from the enter thing. Articles, Directories, Social Bookmarking (larger scale) which include pligg sites etc etc, Profile links. These links are the type of links that I am mixing from the entire equation. So i'm glad I picked up it for $13 US a month - which is very cost effective.
  • I posted some fivver gigs just for the hell of it to make use of my tools like RSS submitter and SERP ASSIST and so on and so on. My plan with this was to get some gigs here and there to give me credits on fivver so that I can spend to further build links. So far, i've had 3 orders or so.
  • SB - Submitted around 20K autoapprove links to Tier 1/2. Haven't checked if links exist. So I don't know if they are "good"
  • BL - I submitted a total of 450~ links DIRECTLY to the money site over a span of 3 days. (I never thought i'd do that, but I'll keep it moderately slow) I probably won't do that again until the end of next week.
  • BL - Building links to tier 1/2 consistently still - 2K links~
  • SS (Sick Submitter) - Submitted 10 High PR profile links to the main page. Plan to build 5-20 every day or other day randomly. Plan to submit tier 1/2 to a ton of directory sites.
  • SA - Built another diagram with my current setup. After looking at YE - there was one article that i wrote (unique) a long time ago on Ezine. I've had traffic from the article several times and have never promoted it (i forgot about it). So i grabbed that and put it through one of my web 2.0 diagrams to help it rank better for that articles keyword. (similar to the main keyword, but still significant differences - so i'm not worried about it)
  • SA - Plan to build another diagram for my secondary keyword URL

Now if this method ends up working is this adsense safe you think in terms if you get manual reviewed (assuming a information site) when they check backlinks or you think they even do that when you get manual reviewed by adsense or if they just check content and ad placement?

Also, why not try adding some directories straight to the money site? As I feel you need to vary up the types of links your building for it. The link pyramid is looking good though.

Well the way I have it setup, it may probably not be very safe for manual approval, because I wouldn't have any ads anywhere to where they're directed (cloak). But if i establish my rankings, then I can add adsense links to all of my pages (i'm using wordpress so its as easy as editing the home page php) - removing cloak. I wouldn't know if they check my backlinks cause they're only concern is my website and my ad placement on my site. But then again, you'll never know right?

As for the directories - I will soon be including that in the mix with SS.

i am new to IM and I kind of understand what you've done in the first post but i don't understand everything. For instance:

I started with SERP Assist and created 23 web 2.0 sites which were largely spun articles (3 to be exact) and had them all pointing to the home page with different anchor text.
- I grabbed all 23 links and created another 23 web 2.0 websites for each of those first tier websites. So in total, I have about: 529 links.
I understand what SERPassist is. you create 23 web 2.0 sites(hubpages, squidoo etc), then on these pages you have backlinks to your main site. So at this point you have 23 backlinks. However I don't understand what you mean by you "grabbed" these 23 links and created another 23 web 2.0 sites. My guess is that you consider these first 23 websites you created 1st tier websites, but I don't know why. You say you created 23 web 2.0's for each of the 1st teir websites, but what does that mean? Do you have all the 2nd tier websites linking/backlinking to the 1st tier web 2.0 websites? And if so, what's the point of that?

I grabbed the report given from SERPAssist after all the websites have been created and submitted 10-20 RSS Feeds everyday to RSSsubmit and have been doing that to date. I have roughly submitted: 140 RSS Feeds
In this serpassist report does it give you all the seperate rss feeds for the 529 web 2.0's you have created? And you are just submitting them some at a time? If not, what do you mean by this?

I also grabbed all the Tier 2 RSS Feeds and created a new RSS Feed using links2rss.com and social bookmarked this using Senuke. I also pinged all the second tier web 2.0 websites.
What's the benefit of taking numerous other rss feeds and turning them into one rss feed? And did you social bookmark the one feed you created using link2rss.com?

I created 10 different wordpress subdirectories and installed backlink energizer on each one. Setup the cron job for each one and have loaded all the second tier websites into them. I am currently only using 2 of the 10 subdirectories. Each one I submitted about 200 links on each posting 3-5 links per article, which is posted a total of 10 times on various sites they currently support.
This part is where I get extremely lost. Where did you install the wordpress subdirectories? On your main site you are trying to get up in the rankings? What is a cron job? Maybe I am just not knowing what the tools you are using do....

I know these are noobish questions but I just want to make sure I am understanding you right because I think i'm not. Answers and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Look above a couple posts you'll see a diagram. The blue ones are the 1st tier websites which are the 23 initial websites i was talking about. I then created another 23 to link to each of one of those (2nd tier) as soon in the link diagram above. The reason why you want to do this is because of LINK JUICE. Basically, the tier 2 website's "authority" is what i want to call it will pass over onto the fist tier websites....then to the main page. Just think of it as a huge flow of "power". If you do some google searching on link juice - you'll find a ton of information about it.

In this serpassist report does it give you all the seperate rss feeds for the 529 web 2.0's you have created? And you are just submitting them some at a time? If not, what do you mean by this?

Yes the program provides me with the RSS feeds (529) in which i am submitting 20 - 40 of these using rss submit. You'll find that i post 20-40 everyday slowly (I haven't finished submitting them all yet, but I always have a fresh set of RSS links to slowly submit.

What's the benefit of taking numerous other rss feeds and turning them into one rss feed? And did you social bookmark the one feed you created using link2rss.com?

If you take several rss feeds and combine them into one... then you essentially have all your rss feeds (529) displaying on one URL. If you can get that one specific URL to get crawled, then they'll crawl your other 529 rss feeds to your tier 2 websites - which then help with indexing. And yes I did social bookmark only that one feed and pinged as well. Anything I can do to try to get the google spiders there..

This part is where I get extremely lost. Where did you install the wordpress subdirectories? On your main site you are trying to get up in the rankings? What is a cron job? Maybe I am just not knowing what the tools you are using do....

This stuff won't make any sense unless you are actually using backlink energizer. Each plugin needs its own "new wordpress". All the tool really does is takes your links and mixes them in with RSS feeds (that you provided - i used ezine articles rss feeds in the niche im in) and posts these to websites (web 2.0 properties). In the end you have "posts" that are created using rss feeds as content and links that you provided (which i am trying to get indexed). If you have google spiders consistently crawling those base sites...then you'll get it indexed/crawled. It doesn't make much sense unless you are using BE.

I know these are noobish questions but I just want to make sure I am understanding you right because I think i'm not. Answers and feedback is greatly appreciated.

No problem.. This is good because im speaking in a way where i assume everyone uses these tools or knows about theses tools so alot wont make much sense. But i'm sure there are several people who have no idea what i'm saying.. lol

Yes i see now...thanks a lot for the helpful response! I look forward to following your thread and taking notes....Good luck!
