Hello,

I have an issue. I published hot content (football preview) but the articles take a lot of time to be ranked on the 1st page while my competitors are immediatly on the first page. They are firstly in 4th or 3rd page, then in 2nd page and few minutes before the beginning of the game they appear in 1st page.

After few day, the ranking of my content is improving while the ranking of my competitors is decreasing. So I appear in the 1st page.


Do you have an idea why is it longer for me than for my competitors. I allways explore like google in webmaster tools in order to index my articles rapidly .

Maybe they are doing more SEO than you,and also getting to the first page is hard when football is soo popular now with the world cup
 
What PA, DA and TF does their sites have? How do they link to the new article from inside their site. Do they publish links to the article in other forums, such as social networks, Twitter etc? Do they both have long tail and short tail key words and so on?
A lot of factors decide how a page get ranked.
 
wait until your content is indexed, maybe it hasn't been index yet. just my two cents!
 
That can happen because search engines have given more value to those web sites based on PA, DA, Site Age, Regular Update etc, but don't worry with regular and better content updating + quality backlinks building your site will eventually achieve that rankings too.

You need to analyze their SEO strategy and their link building strategy. Maybe they are something which you should also do.

Right it depends on a lot of factors. How are they building links to their site.

Make sure you fetch that page on gooGoo webmaster.

As I think they do seo in the direction of backlink, so their site can top up very fast but will not last long.
