This thread is a demonstration of how damn little a lot of members know about choosing niches, understanding
search intent of keywords, or using schema.

Just those 3 things alone would help A LOT when dealing with rich snippets.

By all means, let's allow more drama queens to
take screenshots of search with wiki references and shopping carousels saying SEO dead.

It's a 100% example of why I tell people not to listen to the majority of you and test for themselves. Yes, some
niches have low CTR because of rich snippets, but for fucks sake display the situation accurately.

Every. Single. Person. Who I know that was making $$$ online are making MORE than they have ever made since 2013 in IM. Of course
SEO is a large factor in that equation.

Your anecdotal evidence doesn't mean anything. Everyone focuses on the successful and those who are at the top but what about the countless marketers that have failed despite doing proper research and putting in a great deal of effort? It's so ridiculous when people assume that if you aren't doing well in IM it has to be that you aren't trying hard enough or working hard enough.

In addition, I find it funny the people who oppose what I'm saying about the increasing difficulty of SEO always have a bias and therefore can't be genuine. For example, they always have SEO services for sale in their signature or they are renting out their signatures such as yourself. This has me believing that they aren't genuine at all and simply want noobs to believe they can be successful for their own financial gain.

seo still alive. if you do well seo you can increase your website ranking .

Bing is better than Google at this point.

Decent Semi-Automatic Schema can help fix some of these issue.

These shopping ads at the top are surely sucking in people who are looking to buy the product, but if someone is looking for chanel 5 review, won't they scroll until they find an actual review?

Yes, You are 100% correct. We are ranking almost 12,000+ keywords but our daily traffic is approx 1500 users. We are also ranking many keywords in the first page but the CTR is low due to google UI, snippet result and other information. We are only getting clicks on first 3 link position. our 95% traffics are mobile users.

You raised some valid points. Still people creating sites, ranking then and making huge money.
