SEO is dead ? I joke of course !
    (for newbie : SEO
    will never die)

I would to know your opinion about tiers linking, I see many people here using GSA or other automated tool for spam their tier 2 and
it's good for a churn and burn but personally I never had a good result in the long term, the rank increase very fast, and after some times it back down, so now I dont do tier linking since fews months

My experience is correct or it is because my tiers 2 look like too much spam ?

I have the impression to be the only one here has not to make tier 2

I always hesitate using automated tools, bots and such.

Manual work is the best and I think it produces permanent results of high quality.

Why did you stop tier link building?

Of course your ranking will drop because the links get removed/deleted.

Just do another round of SEO every few months and that solves the problem.

Thats a good point. You lose links everyday. Tool links get booted often, web2.0's get dropped if they aren't active, and even paid PBNs drop after their hosting expires (every 12 months at least usually). So you HAVE TO keep building.

you must remember that not only link building,, but all the process of SEO must be done without giving up... this is the most important strategy to yield better results.

Tiered link building still works, but it has become harder to succeed with.

One day, I'm going to merge every single thread with "is SEO dead?" in the title into the longest, most confusing thread ever. :)

If your tiering works, why did you stop doing it? It's fairly common to lose your nerve, particularly as a promising site starts becoming valuable - is that you or was the maintenance too much?

If if it's the former, then you need to take a step back and compare the results from no ranking activity to the results of doing too much. Often, they tend to be about the same. What's your trust flow distribution like?

Software is for fast short-term results. Hands on strategies take longer; however, they are more effective over the long-term.

I have stop because in the end of my little study case the link from web 2 only have rank better than the web 2 with tier linking from the same keywords with 2 similar metric new site, I made several test on web 2 and I ended up thinking that google seen most of tier 2 as a blackhat and push down, but for tier 2 I used spinned content and automate tool only with web 2 and wiki, never try with strong handwritten PBN with high TF.

So my test are based only on WEB 2 and maybe I have built the tier 2 in the wrong way.

I am currently on a project authority site and I have around 50 low comp keywords page 2 and I know that a small push will move to the page 1 because no SEO have done until now, so I begin to drip feed really high quality web 2, I think all this keywords can be top 5 with tier 2 but I dont want take any risk and see my rank push down after few week.

My site is a baby TF 7/ DA 12

I made this thread mainly for know that are worth to do tier 2 on the long term ?
I mean if the tier 2 need to be very light for be safe, maybe it is an better idea to invest this time and money to build another tier 1 link

PS : Please the day where you merge all the thread about "is SEO dead?" send me the link :D

SEO is not dead most certainly. I would agree that you need to start doing it again to have some good results come your way.

Definitely SEO will live as long as Google will live

I have good result with tier 2 but not in the long run and I do not want to correspond has this sentence : "The madness it is to repeat the same errors and to hope for different results"

Please tell me how you build your tier 2 for that work in long run? Because I have build many kind of tier 2 type, with many different drip feed, keywords density and achor with automated tool as everyone else does
