I setup a wordpress site targeting keyword "[Product A] under 100". Now my site is ranking on the 2nd page. When I analyse the 1st page sites some of them have DA, PA less than my site. But they have keyword in their url. (ex: www.productreviews.com/product-A-under-100)

But as I have mainly targeted that keyword in my micro niche site, the article which contains the buying guide and the reviews is in the home page itself and home page is optimized for the targeted keyword. My website title is like "Budget [Product A]". So the site url is not optimized for the keyword.

Is there any method for me to get more on page SEO value for that targeted keyword? Should I prepare a new post with the optimized url for the targeted keyword?

You can't rank for a "precise" keyword and be on top like it used to be before. Now, content is considered by Google as a whole. Big authority sites do not have to focus on that particular keyword to rank for it. What you need pretty much right now is overall authority for your site. Backlinks, age, more content for related niche keywords.

And surely do not prepare a new post for that keyword, that will lead to content cannibalization.

thanks for the reply. That is why I titled my site as "Budget [Product A]". I did not want to limit to one keyword. But I think I made a mistake as I focused on that keyword on the homepage.

Well it really depends on a lot of factors, not just that they have keyword in the title. One major factor that hasn't been mentioned is links. Do you have solid and relevant links to your website? If they do, and you don't, you most likely wont rank.

Keyword in URL is a very important ranking factor. So yes making a post /product-A-under-100 is a good idea. Try and see what happens. If you do not like the result you can always delete the post later. But title is one of the main ranking factors, so it it worth a try. Depending on the result and how the 2 pages react, you may have to tweak things a bit later. This could even help the homepage if you link to the post from the homepage.

In any case adding a on-topic page to your site cannot hurt. Make sure the new content is different and unique.

just one question. Is there any problem if I target same keyword in 2 posts (separate post and the home page)? (Yes. I will use unique and different content. But the targeted keyword will be same )

Targeting same keyword for more pages does not helpful. Use only one page & optimize it professionally

What's the point having 2 pages on the same domain fighting for the same spot? It's definitely not good. Group same keywords into one article.
