Hi guys, I'm planning to make a site in WP that has exactly 3500 monthly searches and I have an EMD and it has "moderate competition" according to Keyword Revealer



Any suggestions on how to get my site ranked up?

I'm thinking of writing around 20 pages of manual content with the keyword density in moderate amounts, (2%), I'm also worried that it might be over optimized as I'm using wordpress any thoughts on that?

How should I build my links and how often? Social signals how much should I send or dripfeed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

keep in mind, you can get ranked with fewer links, after latest Google updates! So dont rush for too many links in short span of time.

Social signals never harm you, you get them once in a month , and that should be Okay!

What are the 20 pages for? To rank for each keyword? Or simply to add content for the site?

As for backlinking, since you have the EMD and I assume your onpage SEO is decent, I wouldn't push the backlinking too much into high PR links and stuff.

I suggest yuo go with the more traditional route: unique content on web 2.0s, article directories, guest blog posts and social bookmarks. Make sure to learn about tiering in order to keep the incoming backlinks low but the PR/page authority of the tier1 are rising every month.

I think the 20 pages of manual content is just the way to go! When you have done that, start making phone calls and sending emails in order to get links. That's what it takes in the end.

Why rush with 20 contents then launch. I think you just do it natural. Constantly add articles. If you plan to rank on the homepage, it's good factor since teaser can help you get notice that the homepage is being updated gradually. Good for Panda algo. And besides, you aren't on the spotlight so, no visitors yet to check your site up, it's just a waste of articles in a glance.

Thank you for all your insights. I guess I'll launch with around 10 articles at start and gradually add the other 10 every week and also have a section where it's sorta like a blog, that adds content but is like tips/recipes/etc everywhere for a year.

The content is just basically general reviews; targeting other long tail keywords along with the main one.

So should I just build links completely manually after launch or should I wait for atleast a month before I start linking?

About web 2.0's, do I build them with different ip addresses and point at my money site within a week or should I do like once a day (after waiting) for some time?

Diversify those web 2.0s as much as possible, different IPs, different email to use, different human credentials (The goals is to made it look like an independent blog (Or web 2.0 blog(s)) that actually links to you.

First register to 10 or 20 of those (Depends upon your target web 2.0 count(s)), complete each profile, picture, and every infos. Leave it like that for a day. Second day paste those articles. Complete the post with images and video(s). Put those links to your moneysite (I believed this is also usually done on the next day but if you are going to choose high quality web 2.0s, those post will be crawled and indexed fast so better put those links or else you will have to wait for the next crawl which those web 2.0s isn't in your command to be re-crawled, so for me, don't waste too much time and put those links on the second day). And don't forget to give credits to other external authority sources, for example wikipedia for a meaning on something on your article, you get the idea. Hope it helps.

Silo your site. Wordpress out of the box is an optimization nightmare. Id say go for static pages rather than posts.

I'm going for static pages for my products, and blog for howto's/recipe's/etc. Thanks for the tip about web 2.0's appreciate it. Any other helpful SEO tips is greatly appreciated.
