If I search site:www.mydomain.com on Google, I won't find anything. Meaning my whole site got de-indexed right?

However, if I type site:mydomain.com on Google, all my site's pages pops up.

My GSC shows my traffic has tanked.

Makes me confused. What's happening?

What you are describing looks like your website might be experiencing a partial de-indexing by Google.

You always should check by site:domain.com and inurl:domain.com

If your site is running without www - results you are getting are normal.

It may be a bad sign, Previously you gotten any warning message from your GSC?

This might happen because Google is treating these as different versions of your site...There might be a problem with how

google is Crawling or indexing your site...For this, you can specify your Preferred Domain in GSC to avoid confusion...

What is the actual live version of the website?

That is what is being indexed and other version ignored most likely.

You will not have both www and non version indexed at the same time.

If you do have both live it should be checked and fixed like @SEO Sparton said.

site got hit with the core update, you will get a message on GSC soon.
I am sure you know there is massive rollout of the core update that's still happening.
No message yet but is there anything I can do if I get a message!?

You may use Google Analytics to check for key words that help your website rank.

This is a DNS issue. Just redirect from any method either DNS @ or in a plugin or whatever. www and without www. Seems google identified only one.. anyway if the site has good authority and a backlinking profile this wont happen.. don't worry its not de indexed yet so improve.. focus on link building.. the easiest and safest way is build some web2.0s including google properties and then if possible ranker X and select a template like SEO expert and build web2,0s then try to index those with GSA SER. just use high-quality content for all the projects. You can quickly fix canonicalization iby adding a @ for www as well but link building is essential.

Thank you

It's purely a canonicalization issue. Some of the pages where not get crawled and indexed by Google. Check your Google Search Console.
