SEO gone wrong. How to fix?

Paid for SEO service but a guy messed up. Instead of relevant keyword backlinks I got 250 not relevant backlinks with a dumb anchor text. They haven't been indexed yet. The guy gave a refund and won't do anything about it. Is there anyway to fix this? The website is new.

Use disavow tool or try a link removal service. You could also just abandon the domain (wait until pages deindex) and move the content over to another one. That's if you didn't pay anything more than the reg fee for it.

Remove the links , you can also pay someone on fiver to do that for you

Forget disavow, not worth the effort if the domain is new, get another domain.

Was about to disavow and rechecked the backlinks. Here removed the anchor text, now there are just plain website urls. So the picture looks like this: bunch of sites with same description linking to my website without anchor text. I'm guessing this would hurt rankings and should still disavow?

Disavow function as I understand is basically submitting txt of those bad links (which I have) so its simple. Is there any difference?

You just need to take the link list and upload it to Google's disavow tool.

Simply just add the referal links to your .htaccess. Faster and cheaper.

Dont worry about them if they are not questionable anchors. Now focus upon building targeted links.

My first guess is that the fastest, easiest way to solve the existing problem, and future potential ones as well, is to junk the site. That is, perhaps register another name, copy your existing code over with the name change, and put it back up on the server you're using. Then just delete the old site. Whatever bad links exist now point to some old, no longer existing site, not ou brand new fresh one.

Let me add another point. It seems to me that a brand new site that suddenly has 250 inbound links is going to trigger some concern with the search engines. In the past when I was doing SEO much more intensively then now, I tried for a "slow creep" in the beginning. If I could afford the time I'd get out my old DandD dice and use them to generate random popularity. My plan would be something like:

Register site.

Wait 1D6 days before adding any inbound links.

Add 1D4 links.

Wait another 1D4 days.

Add another 1D4 links.

Wait another 1D4 days.

Add 1D6 links.

Wait 2 days.

Add 1D6+3 links. etc.

I found that the slow creep almost always worked better than the horse pill growth, especially in the beginning.

Of course you mileage and needs may vary and getting 250 links instantly is required. But if it isn't ...

If you got a bunch of links, but they are bad anchors, you could choose to wait and then add more links (slowly) until your new links eclipse the old ones. Add link juice to the new links, not to the old ones. The bad link anchors won't matter and will simply make things look more natural. Maybe you should not freak out.
