I am no expert (at all) on SEO, but I am launching a web series and want to up the views (true views) as much as possible. Would it be best to host the YouTube video on a page and SEO that site, or do SEO on the actual direct YouTube pages?

Thanks in advance!

And that said - who is highly recommend for doing this kind of thing? I see plenty in the marketplace, but what will generate the best results.

Blast hundreds of backlinks toward to a YT video for grabbing top ranking at Google.

This depends on keyword(s) which you target to rank.

Thank Himanuzo, can a channel or video be blacklisted from YouTube the same way a site can for using this technique?

Some users here reported penalties of -50 spots for backlink spamming a video directly, so I don't think that's a good idea. I've seen videos take the #1 spot just because the site they were embeded on had authority, so maybe try that instead? Just a thought.

get yourself over to fiverr

order some senuke/ gsa blasts (directly to the vid) and hope for the best.

This shouold generally help to push up the rankings

Treat your video the same way you treat a conventional site.

I would rather have 3 powerful videos and focus all my resources and energy towards making it work than having 10 videos with spammy views and those stuff.

Basically, what you need to do is run on and off site SEO on the video.

Embed them on relevant and high traffic sites.
