Currently i am ranking top 10 in yahoo and bing, but struggling for top 10 in google. I am planning to build link pyramid.In tier 1 how many link diversification is good and what types of links are good ?

Yes link pyramid is good for your site.
Please Do Blog commenting(20), Social Bookmarking(20), Web 2.0 (4 for each site) and use blackhat SEO Tools like GSA, Magic submitter and Backlink Beast.

I guess building 4-5 types of links is good in tier 1?

There's no particular number of links. Every site has its own requirements. So may be go with 10 hi quality Guest Posts or PBN posts. Then Check Rankings and Then Build some more 
Don't Go For Crappy Automated Links like - bookmarks, spun web 2.0 or Profiles.
You will get real results only with -
HI PR links (lots of providers there)
PBN Links (better build your own 5-10 domain pbn - if your niche is worth it)
Unique Web 2s
Guest Posts
Parasites with quality content, and Then TIER 2 for them.

Start with 10 to 20 web 2.0s on different web 2.0 platforms (tier 1) and build contextual links to them from other less popular web 2.0 sites and article directories (tier 2). Then build tons of links to them from any source (extreme spam - tier 3)

Yes, while the directories are relevant. Which not means SomeDirectory.tld/CategoryOfTheNiche/linkTitle, but NicheDomain.tld/ExactCategoty/linkTitle
