If 90% of people used google to find torrents then seo would be very important. As it is i think maybe 5-10% of people do search general terms like:
"Gears of War 3 torrent"
and the result they get back will be for the most popular torrent files of that game on the most popular sites. To compete with those results you would be up against a massive p2p community that is spreading the files and dictating googles response and even if you could compete against that somehow, you'd only be targeting a fraction of the overall traffic since +90% people just go to their favorite torrent site and search for stuff there (and base their choices on reviews/comments seed/peer numbers)
The real "seo" of torrenting is seed spoofing and fake comments
