I have been hard at work on my businesses website it is a fitness studio type of business, and have been looking to take my SEO to the next level3.

I'm looking on your thoughts on some of these questions/Ideas.

What would be the optimal Structure to a website?
(Should it be 1 solid page, should each class/service have its own page with information?)
(should there be a live insta feed on home page or where?)
For example i have Kettlebell classes, fitness classes, self defense, yoga etc. Currently I have different pages that have descriptors and some key words, and images on the page. As generic as it can get.
DO you think there is a better format than this. (maybe putting the info all on one page? or having different tabs? Like, does the frequency of the content even matter or does it matter more of the quality of content? etc.

What do you think the best way to use keywords is?
(do i spam everypage with everything? or use it sparingly?)

What about ranking over other websites? does the age of the site matter? and the age of the content?
(like if i were to update and get a new site going every 2-3 months would that be better than just having the same website long term? Or you think long term optimization of one site.)
Maybe it would be better to have a live updated section that would be fed with articles. Currently I have a website thats been in progress for 4 years or so and would like to optimize it.

Are there any things about sitemaps that could be used to optimize the SEO of the site?
Tbh i dont even know how to make this file but im going to be looking through some stuff today and tomorrow so i can further discuss with you guys.

Theres a bunch of thoughts i had recently and i was hoping to discuss some thoughts with some people or if someone has good resources i could read. I really would like to get into the depths of
some nuances of SEO.

I see large hole of SEO power in the are around my business and really want to optimize my SEO because i could rank #1 pretty solidly i believe and it could be a serious revenue difference for it.

What are your thoughts?

take inspiration from other sites in your niche. Check how many, and which pages they have, check what type of content they have, etc... and then replicate that if you don't mind being one of the many sheep, or add unique twists to make your site stand out, aesthetically / visually.

As for the SEO part, this will obviously depend and it requires site audit + competition analysis in order to figure out what you need to do

insta feed for what ?!? You said you have a fitness studio, so I assume that your end goal is to get people into your studio, I don't see what you could have in that feed, so give some details if it's not too much trouble :)

service / business type of websites like yours don't need a lot of content. You just need visibility among your local traffic, and for this you need good positioning in the localized google SERPs, which unfortunately I don't know how to get because I don't do local SEO. All I know (from what I've heard from other people doing local SEO) is that you need to set up GBP and to get a lot of citations (whatever those are), so you might want to look these things up first

hmm... if you only have 3-4 services (types of classes in your case) I think you can put them all on the same page (page named "Classes", or "Services", or whatever else you see fit)... If you have more classes you might want to group them together based on closeness to each other / relevance to each other and create 1 page for each one of these categories and add 2-5 such closely related classes / services on their respective page

add the main keyword...

- in the title of its respective page
- in the first paragraph of the page
- in the ALT tag of the first image of the page
- in the content, once every 100-200 words
- (optional, not recommended but could be needed sometimes) once in a H2 or H3 tag

if you operate in a low competition niche... or if you target low competition keywords site and content age won't matter too much as google will eagerly rank you if it has nothing better to rank. But for tougher niches (of which fitness definitely is) site and content age could matter even if only in the context of sandboxing

(like if i were to update and get a new site going every 2-3 months would that be better than just having the same website long term?
what?? LOL NO! Why the hell would you create new sites every few months, especially in niches where you might not rank at all for 1 year or more? It makes no sense to me, you're just spreading yourself thin....

I mean, if you have enough time and money to throw at this type of domination you could probably manage to dominate the 1st page with only your sites in a few years, but I personally think it's too much hassle for how unpredictable google is lately.

Or you think long term optimization of one site.)
from a "stay protected against google's whimsical updates" point of view, it's better to create multiple sites like you said, but this will require an insane amount of resources given the nature of your niche (YMYL and very competitive).

So, I would choose long term strategy instead, even if it's riskier. But that's me, you can do however you like obviously :)

Maybe it would be better to have a live updated section that would be fed with articles
so, a blog? Yeah, a blog is (still) a great way to pull traffic and revenue in, even for a fitness studio. You just need to get the EEAT part right, as YMYL niches require a lot of EEAT crap

Currently I have a website thats been in progress for 4 years or so and would like to optimize it.
um, are you talking about the fitness studio website, or a different one? And if it's a different one, why bring it up? And optimize it how? For google / SEO, or for something else?

sitemaps are used to help google understand what your site is about and to also index the important pages of your site. These are the only 2 important goals of a sitemap from what I know. Having a sitemap submitted to your GSC won't help you rank, directly, if all other SEO checkboxes are not ticked, if that's what you wanted to know...

such as?

It's a good idea to have separate pages for each class or service on offer, so that both your customers and search engines can get a good understanding of what it is that you're offering.

Use keywords sparingly and naturally throughout your content. It's easier said than done though. Avoid keyword stuffing.

The age of your site and content play a role. It's more important to regularly update with fresh, high-quality content (blog posts).

Sitemaps make it easier to crawl your site, so create one and submit it to the search engines.

Backlinks from authority sites are also important. Think of them like endorsements from other websites to show Google that yours is credible and trustworthy. Reach out to other websites in your niche and see if you can collaborate on something or exchange links.
