SEO for Inner pages

My authority site has built up around 10,000 backlinks to the homepage over the past 8 months. Its performing well for its keywords on the home page. Page 1 for everything.

Ive started building on the website now with lots of inner pages with longer tailed keywords. However they are being pipped to page 1 and hover around page 2 - 3. They have been sitting at this SERP for the past month+

Whats the best way of getting my inner pages ranked page 1? Do i just continue with banklinks or are there other things to focus on and consider?

An authority site should have some backlinks to inner pages too,not only the homepage. You might want to add some backlinks to the ones you want to rank.

Try to build links for inner pages too so inner pages also looks good with search result..

yeah...Add inner links to your innerpages. If you need 1st position to your innerpages use longtail keywords related your innerpage which you want to rank top..And do quality backlinks with this keywors. This will help to rank top. I did like this and get position also Best of Luck!!!

you must do some back links to your inner pages. It would help your site look natural and also it would make your inner pages rank better.

Well optimizing your inner pages is definitely a good idea, and As they said High quality stating links would really help on ranking the inner pages of your site.

Backlink the inner pages you want to rank to build their individual authority, and even linkwheel them to add to their juice. Since internal linking is 'natural,' how could Google complain about high PA pages within a site that link to each other?
