SEO for Gambling Sites?

I have sites in the gambling niche. It's a very tough niche! Depending on what keywords you are going for, you will be competing against some big boys with lots of money. I did a site audit for a gambling site and I found that the top ranked sites had tons of quality back links. They also used their own PBN sites. And we are talking thousands and thousands of links!

Good.. If u want rank to ur client site , go and buy some good service with niche based links.. And do some link building work..

Do link building and make sure you alert your advertiser else they will reject your campaign, most places do not accept gambling sites

You're going to have hard time. the online casinos pretty much dominate the money kws and the affiliates dominate the money long tails and review type of kws.
basically you're going to have to buy links (rent) and plenty of it if you even want a chance to compete with them.

Personally, I wouldn't even enter that game.
You are talking about companies that can easily drop $100,000 for links and dominate the top spots, if they haven't already.

As others said its a tough niche. Tough, because there are few money keywords and a lot of brands with a deep pocket.
You can hit the top 10 for a few days with press releases to major news sites, but to stay there longer you'll need a good private network.

Hello guys, thanks for all the answers. I know it's tough, and especially since I will only do whitehat...so basically, I'll work a lot with minimal results but at least my client is sure to have enough $$ to pay me for the months to come.
I was thinking of doing the following:
- guest posts
- advertorials
- directory links (only a couple high pr ones)
- video promotion
- pdf links
- and all that other shit that Cutts talks about...
I wouldn't risk anything "dark side" as I really don't want to get my client penalized - of course, unless there's a 100% way that this won't happen, but since there's no guarantees...

I would agree to the most comments here. The gambling niche is quite competitive. You will need to have good, high PR sites to build your links to. I would say that if you have the budget for your SEO campaign, go for private blog networks, guest posting, article marketing, and perhaps paid ads on social media sites. Good luck

only enter the gambling niche if your budget is mid $XXXX monthly.
As far as I know online gambling is banned in most states. I would not waste my time promoting anything to Americans.
