Hi all, do we actually need SEO for forum sites?
Whatever you do, don't follow this advice. Blasting your new domain with GSA is not a good idea.i never had a forum so im not sure. But you may still do for home page. gsa blasts may help as many new-ish forums contain gsa links. Why not to spy your competitor.

Agreed! Cloning competitors for whats working for them is an awsome thing to do.Instead of dismissing it as a bad idea, may I have some facts? I've never had a forum, but I have owned more than 20 semi-automated blogs and e-commerce sites, and all I use is GSA SER and other automation tools for link building. I never use nonsensical anchor texts, nor do I overload projects with junk data, and it works well. Whenever I check, almost all link building profiles via SEMrush, Ahrefs, and similar tools show that many of my competitors are using the same pattern. As I said, I've never had a forum (technically, I had a MyBB forum about 15 years ago, ha ha), but I don't think the link strategy would be different from what I do with blogs and e-commerce sites. I'd like to know more about it.
I assume google has RRF for different niches. We still can one-page silos for some niches. Ex: most outdoor niches / seasonal niches.
