SEO For Facebook Page?

Here I was Googling for some ideas for my Facebook Cover Photo and a logo idea. I searched a very general and popular term.
I scroll down a bit and on the 4th spot I see one of my posts on Google. This lead me to the question, is it possible to have a Facebook page optimized for Google search? If so, anybody have any tips to offer? This is not the first page that I create but it is the first one that I create and is successfully developing real fast and it's in a niche that I enjoy too. So I am fully devoted at the moment. I think I may have even came up with an amazing idea that I haven't seen done as of yet.

Are other Facebook pages ranking for your niche?

I see lots of Google+ posts on the SERPs for the niches I track, but not too many Facebook pages. Obviously, Google is demoting Tumblr and Facebook, and all their competitors, in favor of their own social network.

If Google is not filtering Facebook out of your niche, then run of the mill SEO will rank your page. I have a FB page that ranks without any SEO, but also this is a very low competition niche, a hobby of sorts.

Yes, in fact I just realized the #1 spot is taken by a Facebook page. One of my competitors safe to say.
You seem to have experience in this field, so would you recommend a specific service for this sort of thing?
 
Anyone else have any experience or information on this matter. I tried Google but didn't really find much.
 
I've heard of many people having success in the past with ranking Facebook pages. I had a client about a month ago who was ranking #4 for their keyword (16,000 Monthly Searches - Medium Competition) and the first 2 results were Facebook pages so this goes to show that they can be ranked and is an effective way to rank your keyword(s) depending on the competitiveness and competitors.

Optimise your Page's name and the About Me section. IMO About me is the most important part for SEO purposes.
 
Thread FAIL. Sad that so many people replied and no one really helped the OP.
Sure onpage is important DUH..
He wants to know FB SEO, people..which includes OFF SITE seo.

I'll chime in=> as I've ranked and am still ranking some top FB pages-

1) Backlinks work just as they do for other targets
2) optimize your anchors more aggressively. WHY? Because facebook is a tad more trusted than 99% of sites out there.
3) Spam works too.

Maybe check the BL profile of other top ranking FB pages and you can see what might work for you... instead of asking peeps here who have never
even ranked an FB page b4
 
Facebook pages will rank quicker than other websites if you properly optimize it. "Backlink" is what you need to have. I tried ranking one facebook page and a pinterest page for same term with same method, facebbok page jump to page one in 3 weeks and pinterest page get into page 3 in 3 weeks.

Facebook pages tolerate a large amount of spam(on Google SERPs, not spamming IN Facebook - they'll detect you in 5 minutes that way) but eventually if you do that, they're churn 'n burn - your bet here is how long you can stay up there.

Google will try to identify the domain name you're targetting. Facebook.com has pretty high authority so they can't auto-ban new pages, so they have bots and humans checking the pages. You can get away with lots of spam during a decent period.

IF you're going for the long run, then the recipe is slow follower and likes building, getting real friends to like and link back to the page, etc. The boring stuff.
 

Facebook Pages are great for backlinks, just make the article human readable and to the point, and of course not spammy.

It has huge potential...

Yeah this is what I was thinking, I am going for the long run. So far all of the fans are real, just waiting for it to go viral.
I might just do a little off site SEO to give it a little boost. Thanks for the tips guys.
 
I could be wrong about this but I think a page receives more authority with more active fans linking in?

I wouldn't know but at the moment the ratio of Fans to "Talking about this" is 2028/1469.
Was almost 100% earlier and I'm not even exaggerating. At the moment I have an animated intro video that I plan on uploading to YouTube to promote the page. I'm also planning on setting up a simple blog, buying a couple of articles and hopefully a little bit of SEO from the BST section would get the blog ranking. It will only be promoting the fan page and nothing else. Hopefully that will be enough to rank the page. The gets a lot of activity on a daily basis, sure its not a 100k fanpage, but all of the fans are legit and a lot of them interact with the page on a daily basis.
 
Another tips for seo facebook page ? I have a niche who i saw this facebook page in first google page.. who is secret ?
 
One thing I can think is how active or updated the page is. If you increase, these, it should improve the rank on Google in general.
