I made an e-commerce website for a client and he says that he wants SEO so he pops on the search

I don't know much about SEO so what do you suggest that i offer him?

Should i buy backlinks or what? You can recommend me any service from BHW

Thank you a lot

So you built or sold a website then don't know much about SEO not even on a basic level like on-page?

Why not just be honest with your client. Say you can't do it / don't offer it and recommend someone else.

I built the website, i told him that i don't know SEO but he insist helping him to find someone that knows.
So if i find him someone that offers SEO services - my client is happy, the SEO guy is happy and I'm happy

The thing is i don't know what type of SEO services to look for

On-Page SEO should be done while you are building the website. Honestly, for an eCommerce site, building backlinks should be done at a later stage. And what about product descriptions, are they SEO-friendly? Looks like you have a lot on your plate.

Ecommerce seo, specifically an agency specialised in the cms the ecommerce is built with

First improve on-page optimization and then improve the quality of content about the product to attract the customers.

It's better to do onsite seo at early stages. However, you can still edit the content based on onsite suggestions. Link building is important but has to be done gradually to keep the website safe.

Whichever service you choose, know that SEO takes time and there are no cheap options.
Cheap will get you nowhere at best, and penalized by Google at worst.

Buy something for $5 and resell it to him for $500. Tell him SEO is expensive. Easy bucks.

You really shouln't do anything if you don't know even basics of seo. Even if your client insists, you can just ruin his chances to rank. If you want to help him just find a reputable agency if good portfolio in ecommerce and work with them on editing onpage seo, and let them do offpage seo. Also it won't be cheap, and he really shouldn't expect effect in like a month...

if it's on WordPress, you can use RankMath to do on-page optimization

First focus on onpage, optimize the content with detailed and unique product description and also maintain page speed. Build quality and relevant links with pace and increase authority of the site.

Improve the on-page SEO and quality descriptions of the product. local SEO to help drive local organic traffic.link building to help improve the authority of your website and share the social media signal.

I've been working on a similar project. There are plenty of SEO plugins for Shopify to show you any obvious issues with the website (404's, low quality pages, duplicate meta descriptions) - these are the basics you need to address first.

If you are serious, what he is going to get except those $495? The client will require to see some results and results are not going to be there. He will lose a client and positive feedback from him.

On-page and Off-page SEO optimization both Are Important for Ranking your Site

On page - Add high Quality Article
Off-Page - PBN and Guest Post is best for one

Thanks !
