Hi guys,

If I had an App on Google Play, and I need to rank it, how is this done? Is App SEO the same as website seo?

I'm pretty sure it's about getting installs, reviews etc. I don't think building backlinks will help.

installs, reviews and rating are the big factors for ranking an app in google play, BUT there is another factors you should take in consideration

1-Optimise your app title, short discription and long discription
2-Add a fancy icon and minimum 10-12 screenshots
3- Add a video for your app
4-link building

app ranking on android needs feedback, ratings, downloads etc. Ofcourse ranking on google is same like other keywords.

Use your keywords 5-6 times in the title and description (together)
There are networks where you can get incent installs that really help in ranking. People search your keyword, Find your app and install it (That helps most in ranking) since the download come from a keyword and they help playstore determine that your application is exceptional..
