Hello friends, I have a general blog where I share content on various topics. I have a few questions, and I would be glad if those who know could answer.

  1. Since it is not an industry-specific site, for which articles should I get promotional content?
  2. How should I approach getting backlinks for all articles?
  3. Should I buy backlink packages or get promotional content from websites?
  4. How can I do SEO for a general blog site? What are your recommendations?
(I don't have much knowledge of English, so I got help from ChatGPT; there may be writing errors.)

1) general site don't work as google can't understand your site. Find out after you publish few hundred articles, ask chatgpt what to promote give it the list of keywords of the article that you published. You can always promote hot general affiliate products like vpn, hosting etc.
2) around 80% links to home page rest to the articles.
3) you can get both, also try pbns.
4) use rankmath for on page seo.
 
Build backlinks only when you have some decent organic traffic every day. Building backlinks before securing organic traffic might backfire.

  2. Use headings to your benefit.
  3. Optimize your content for featured snippets.
  4. Write for humans, not search engines.
  5. Optimize your title.
  6. Include keywords in your meta description.
  7. Add alt text to images.
  8. Resist the urge to keyword stuff.
 
As per my Experience general Sites doesn't Do Well In SEO. First you need to finalize a category or an industry.

then you can come up with Other doubts.

Backlinks you have to go through paid route. If the content is so good that other related blogs start covering it, then it is a different thing.
 
You will have to buy backlinks for sure. But it should be added gradually. Do not add lot of links all of sudden.
 
Exactly. You are starting a marathon with this type of project, dont sprint.... or your site will burn out quick
