For me content and topical authority matter most but backlinks and technical SEO still help a lot Ranking works best when all three support each other

What worked best for me was matching the intent better, building topical structure, and updating pages that already had impressions in GSC.
On my car blog, after internal linking, clustering and updating old pages, the average position moved from 26.7 to 7.4 in 3 months and CTR grew by 2.2%. Backlinks help, but if the page itself does not answer the query well and the site structure is weak, they will not save it.
