Hi Guys,

For me, 2012 started as the worst year ever for me.Let me explain briefly, hopefully you guys can help me with some good advice on what to do next.

I don't know much of anything about SEO, but i know niches and monetization. So over the course of 3 years, I've built over 15 websites and found an SEO team to do the link building work on them.

I paid roughly 2000 usd for each site, and i got to the top 3 spot with in 2-4 months with each project.

Best site made close to 30k a month and worst site did around 1400 usd per month. Everyhing was excellent and superb, as i added more and more sites.Until Feb 2012 ... All sites dropped in Google ! At first some dropped like 3 spots, then a few more, and eventually they all dropped to around 100th or 200th " something, spot..

Its just f"n insane ! In Bing and Yahoo they remained but in Google all sites basically disappeared.

Whats even worse, is that the SEO team i used , explained that their methods are no longer working and they are done...they can't get them back since they used " guest blog postings" and don't have any other solution, since google has started to ban these links.

What am i suppose to do now ? How can i get my sites back ?

Any information is Highly appreciated ..

Same thing happened to me but with the Panda update. All I did is starting from scratch. New domain names, new hosting with new IPs, new content and so on. The only thing you can use is the niche itself as you know it's profitable and you can make money.

Maybe other guys have better approach then mine...

It looks like they did maybe somewhere else something unnatural, which caused the drop of your site's.

Sent me one as an example if you like me to take a look.

Further, you still have a lot of link source which you/your team can use.

The sites are not penalized, they just dropped. Cant i get them back up there ? As i add new content, decrease the keyword density etc ? I don't want to start from scratch since the domains have age. Currently my priority would be to get at least 4 of the domains back ... Times like this i really wish i knew SEO ... Sucks when your dependent on others ...And not have enough information.

It do amaze me how people think that google needs to send them free targeted traffic just like that. You should appreciate that you made some money.

I totally agree with you on that. I would just like to get back there ... As i was relying on this SEO team, I'm quite lost without them now. I was more then lucky to find them in the first place...

Very agreeable post. Just because you have failed once doesn't mean that you're bound to fail again! Keep trying! Appreciate the money you made, and use it as motivation to strive to continue making money! You'll go further than you think you will if you put your mind to it. Best of luck to you my brother. I hope that you can continue to make money.

Additionally, when dealing with SEO, you're bound to experience downs. It's just so unpredictable that you can't expect everything to always be happy jolly. Keep trying and I know that you'll get back where you were. Try things others haven't tried and don't be scared to venture into uncharted territory!

Oh hell no.. A lot of us put a lot of hard work and money in building our sites and even more effort into ranking them. Google would not even exist if it wasn't for our hard work because there would not be anything to search for in the first place. It's just plain wrong that one little change in an algorithm can destroy months, if not years, of work. One day google loves and rewards certain types of sites/ backlinks, next day they decide to hate them and there is not a damn thing we can do about it...

you turned 4k into what? 40k 80k? $120k?

put things in perspective: you cant even get that kind of return in real estate, stock market, etc these days.

thx for that post hatisblack...

...one site made up to 30k and not knowing the game - just relying on service.

...cool story bro.

By the same token, it amazes me that one corporation is thought to effectively 'own' web traffic, such that it can deign to 'send' it to this or that site. How can traffic be 'organic' if the search ranking is subject to unilateral decisions made by an algorithm? If a search engine is truly reflecting 'natural' traffic, that traffic is supposed to be free, because it's not unnatural. Webmasters who set up natural traffic in a WH way shouldn't be robbed of their visitor audience by a company that keeps switching the "natural' rules.

its unfortunate that google owns web traffic...they are nazi's....

Its because the methods they used were only short term. They needed to build quality links from diverse sources. If you want long term solutions shoot me a message.

you can always get your site up and running if you follow google's TOS and stay upto date with their methods.

they used public blog networks, happened to me too. But now I am working on my own private network, so google will have problems to find it out

I alse face same thing but after that I tried only Drip feed Service of SEO like Press Release and Web 2.0 Services with Unique contents. You may also try it.

First Thing now is check your on page optimization first and if your website are related to restaurants, hotels, cafes then forget about doing seo on them. AS google giving ranking value to review websites in this field.

You don't say if these are small sites or large-scale sites

If small, then add more categories to cover a larger spread of keywords

As you say the sites are not banned, then I'd start targeting long tail keywords

I'd also re-invest some of the money I've made into building new sites - large-scale authority sites
