Are there any SEO disadvantages of having an article on a page rather than a post on WordPress?

Posts are content entries listed in reverse chronological order on your blog’s home page. Older posts are archived based on month and year. Posts are included in RSS feed. It is designed to encourage social interaction and sharing.

I dont actually get your question first. but I can clearly say, no disadvantage of having articles on any page of a site or its a Wordpress as long as the article is of great quality.

SEO'wise there is no difference. Except that, themewise most themes link pages permanently from homepage while posts gets dropped out after around the selected number of links on homepage, default is 10 or 15.

Exactly the type of answers I was looking for. Thanks a lot guys

I have a related question that has been doing my nut in. I have a category page , lets say "honda motor cycles" with 10 products on the page. Each product has a review article. Now the question, I don't want loads of writing on the page (just the images and the title). I have "click here" to read the review. How do I link the article to the product page for onpage SEO? or is it already linked by the "click here" link? been doing my head in that question , couldn't find the answer anywhere.

Well, articles on a category page have an excerpt, which I'm guessing you've removed and only kept the "read more" (click here) link if I understood that correctly? Then I don't see why everything wouldn't be fine already. Don't take my word for it, though. I'm also a beginner

Not really a beginner, but the on-page SEO drives me insane sometimes . Probably overthinking it. I think everything is OK as they are ranking.

Thank you for your advice.

Oh lol I'm not even sure why I said that. Hope you were not offended ;)

NO disadvantage in this type of content in page, No worries but content must be unique.

There is no difference between page and post in terms of SEO. To be simple, Posts are just the blogger terms for a new article, which stay permanent on a new web page. Thanks

Post gets overrun in the long term and Pages are better. Though one downfall to it is if you are a blogger

Put it simply
Bloggers need posts
Webmaster need pages

There aren't any.

Page is something to give information about the site to the user.

You are not allowed to show ads on blogspot page. Its against adsense terms.

While post is something which you publish and showcase you own writing skills. There are several factors you need to take care of like onpage and offpage seo.

hope this helps.

I think both will not have much difference.
It tends to give information to the users so it should be relevant to your site.
The contents should be fresh and unique for getting good results.
