hey guys I'd like to hear ur opinion on SEO courses any good stuff out there? Personally I think that alex becker offers pretty valuable information with his youtube channel and his new product ROI Optimization but many people badmouth him and his products. What do you think? Any favourite courses that you can recommend?

Alex Becker is complete shite. His plugins are shite. He's just milking all the limelight he's getting right now in the guru world. His SEO is total crap.

According to me Best SEO is the person who use below method -

(Read + Learn + Test + Analyze) + Some Creative Sauce

ive done a few video courses. If your completely new id suggest using that Lynda learning site. they have a decent course on seo. but that is for beginners. They give a decent history lesson on the internet, seo and google.

becker has the info you need for all the blackhat stuff.

The reason I don't like becker is more for like a customer service thing..

I went to his site, signed up for a course. paid through paypal. setup my account. and once I hit the link to access my account, it sent me to the rick roll youtube video...
his foreign virtual assistant replied a day later and told me they needed to manually fix my account because they made some updates. IDK made me mad. I thought I had been scammed. paypal rep told me their account was in mexico and that they get massive amounts of complaints about him..
ANYWAYS..sorry about that. just had to get it out of my system..

so yea..Lynda site, and maybe one of beckers courses..

seobook, google and bhw is your best frnd dude when it comes to SEO!

Yes distilled is good ... they have many young talented fellows

no seo course can help you to rank sites on Ist page. They can only tell you basics nothing else. You need to use hit and trail method.

Best way to learn SEO is to learn the basics and get out there and start experimenting.

Kind of like golf. You start off at the driving range, but the game is played on the course and that's where you're gonna learn.

Courses are good for enhancing personal knowledge once you have a good understanding of the foundations.

The best course you can take, is action.

Teach yourself and you'll be much better off; I personally find the whole learning process to be as enriching as getting results from my websites. You'll also learn to distinguish good advice from the bad - and that is an incredibly powerful tool in itself.

Get some basic books if you know nothing about site structure/search engines, something like Art of SEO. Then just read the forum and some blogs. Bookmark news sites like searchenginenews and moz to keep ahead of the latest updates. The most valuable learning tool is your own experience - set aside a couple of dollars, get a site, get basic hosting and test out some techniques.

Learn the basic SEO here -> moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo
Do some implementation/testing
If it ranked analyze your ranked site
If it didn't rank determine what's wrong with your site

The best learning is getting your hands dirty and seeing what works for you best.

And for the rest of the thing, BHW is right up here.

Terry Kyle is usually on the money. I learnt how to find, flip domains, with his course years ago.
