Can't understand why anyone would want to enter.
A load of blackhatters trying to rank for the same keywords with site ownership visible?
I'd rather put my time, effort and resources into actually making money.

Yeah, it would be a fun idea but I agree with oxon on this one. It would be too risky of people exposing too much personal information in the process, not just online to the SE but within the ranks here, where some of the BHW members are beyond the best ethical standards as human beings, tending to not even maintain common ground of ' honor among theives ' as it were.

Personally, I would love to do this, if for nothing more than to sharpen my own seo knowledge in the field, as my current competition doesn't have the advantage of knowing I'm coming after their slot on the SE. However, the effort would all be for not if someone wanted to take advantage of the situation and ruin it for everyone involved by being less than intelligent with their actions.

Interesting idea though...would have been interesting to test metal on metal.

Of course, The contest would involve money prizes.

What about something like 50$ Entry fee and winner takes all or something like this.

Good luck to anyone that does take part. Sincerely, J0kerz, I hope they do. However, I don't see the logic in trying to get a couple of grand at best if 20+ people sign up. That wouldn't be worth the risk to lose a site that would take all that effort and time, just to have someone abuse it in the end for being a soar loser.

Flamming is bad enough here, can you imagine what it would be like with people disliking each other and ruining each other's business sites?

    Best of luck with it.

I support this idea. What about a seo contest section?
The sponsor must pay $20-25 for OP like the BST and $50-100 for the winner.
A moderator can be the Escrow.

If a repute member need help with a long tail keyword, other members will write reviews and the best ranked article will get the money.
The winner have to keep the article up for 1 month otherwise he get a BAN or money back or other penalty.

This can be applied for youtube comments or other..... ideas. We are Blackhatworld God Damn we have lots of ideas! Should be fun and creative game.

    Great idea!

It's all about creating a new website for the contest. The keyword wont be stated until the start of the contest so everyone will start at the same place.

In short, nobody will care about "losing" their website.

Well, like I said before...Not knocking the concept/idea at all, it would be fun. However, as a professional, I don't waste time building ant site property with that kind of effort just to throw it away. I for one would care about losing any property that I put that time and skill into.

We will agree to disagree on that one, as there are those that will do it just to take a pride stance rather than see the lost value in the property for adding money into their pockets. Just makes no sense to not only give up a site for a competition like this but, to PAY someone to openly take it from you. Nothing personal on you or anyone that takes part in it...just a different opinion and pov on the situation.

I hope you guys get it worked out to a legitimate comp. I would love to see how this one plays out if you get it off the ground.

I like the idea... I'm up for it. I look at it as being a recreational thing... enjoyable to compete and see where we fall in the big scheme of things! Count me in if someone can get it organized!
