Hopefully you have read SEO Content Tuning Experiment. One of the comments said that the post only helps attorneys. Which is kind of true. So I am going to pull AND SHARE data for ten other niches. I am asking for suggestions on what those niches should be to best help the BHW community in general. Here are the guidelines.

1. Don't suggest your secret money making niche. Suggest a niche that will help you and others learn from the data.
2. Submit about 20 closely related search terms for the niche
3. Vote for the suggested niches you like best by thanking them
4. The ten suggested niches with the most thanks are the ones I'll pull data for.

You can see the data files from the link above as an example of the data I will be assembling. I'll try to have the data pulled by monday.

Suggestion: SEO Software Niche

  1. seo software
  2. mac seo software
  3. pc seo software
  4. best mac seo software
  5. best pc seo software
  6. seo software for mac
  7. seo software for pc
  8. seo software for mac os x
  9. top seo software
  10. top mac seo software
  11. top pc seo software
  12. top seo software for mac
  13. top seo software for pc
  14. seo tools
  15. best seo tools
  16. best seo tools for mac
  17. best seo tools for pc
  18. best mac seo tools
  19. best pc seo tools
  20. top seo tools

Hi,
I'm on the bus but dont want to forget this.
I would love a research on Binary Options or Online Casinos
I'm sorry for not adding the 20 keywords but if you really want I will do it when I get to the office.
Hope one of them will be picked :)

I posted the data for my suggested niche to show I am serious about delivering on this. Just scroll back up to my suggested niche to get it.

Really enjoyed your first thread on the content tuning validseo. Your information should have some sort of vanilla equivalent, i.e. there should be a generally acceptable commonality between your overall results regardless of the niche. You are talking about how each individual element of on-page content can skew or effect SERP ... while I get that things may be somewhat different across niches ... you are still talking about the same search engines, and they do not have a unique algorithm for each niche. They have over-arching rules, policies, equivalencies, priorities, etc...

As such if you analyze enough niches you should easily be able to arrive at what some would call general "best practices" which would be content tuning solutions that should work in MOST niches. Of course there will always be minor deviations, but unless you're literally pioneering a completely new field of study one really only needs the top level "best practices" to be identified and implemented.

Good luck on this 2nd experiment, and I look forward to your on-going activities.

Totally agree, but I should point out that Google treats different kinds of search intent differently. Shopping queries behave different than knowledge queries, behave differently than local queries, etc. You have to be very careful to not cross one of those boundaries in your testing or things go haywire in the data. Also the degree of tuning completely changes from one niche to the next. For example "Seo Software Niche" had 371 keyword matches per page and "DUI Attorney" had 588 matches per page on average. As a relative indication that is almost 60% more content tuning required for one niche versus the other. A good way to make sure you bill appropriately.

Great, validseo! Thank you for expanding your research to different search queries / behaviour. I'd like to nominate the niche: Digital Marketing Services.

Keywords:

digital marketing agency
online marketing services
seo services
search engine optimization company
internet marketing company
website design company
website design services
pay per click services
pay per click advertising
search engine marketing
e-mail marketing services
email marketing company
digital advertising company
content marketing services
local seo

These are just a few keywords that popped in my head, you can probably add a few more and perhaps add a location variant to each of them "keyword + location".
I believe this will be the most valuable niche for most of the members here at BHW as most of them offer similar services.

Looking forward to your research dude :)

Here is the data for this list!

If you want other variants you need to make me a specific list. ;-)
