Now don't get me wrong the BST section offers many amazing packages but I just have a suggestion. Currently, the majority of packages are either less than ten dollars or over one hundred. These packages offer a checklist of things for a set price and don't offer a middle ground unless you buy multiple cheap packages. I just have this question for you sellers out there.

Why don't you offer 'recipes'? By that I mean you check the person's site for how they're currently ranking (this will also increase newbie buyers' confidence and therefore increase your sales) and then based on that make them a quote including certain features such as the Web 2.0 profiles etc.

I acknowledge that this will require more work and expertise you may not have if you're merely a reseller but there's definitely a hole in the market.

Either way, keep up the good work despite what you take from this thread. I've had a few amazing results from packages recently!

It's just more difficult to do that on a forum. Don't worry, people get clients from their sites; sales aren't being lost.

And, let's be realistic: a truly personalized package or consultancy is just a tad more than $100/month.

The BST is for a client to purchase what they need. If the client doesn't know, they should do research, or be prepared to pay for a bespoke, boutique service.

SEO pricing is also absolutely prohibited when dealing on a forum in international markets. Think how ridiculous article writing is now. I can buy INCREDIBLE quality for $2.50, which is impossible to compete with. Who in a financial-industrial country has the luxury to accept that rate for their work?

There are holes in the market you can drive a glacier through, and that rests true in every market. Maybe it's your time to set up shop?

Very good point actually, and in my experience the sellers are always happy to change the package as long as the suggestion is reasonable!

BHW is the place where you can find real seo Experts who know their stuff . And some of them are represent big business out side BHW. But BST section is designed in such a way that the seller coming here are really looking for some mix packages which they get easily...

I think generally speaking if you contact someone in the BST section for custom work usually they are more than happy to oblige (I know we do).

However the process of customizing something to each site can be painstaking especially when a good amount of these inquiries do not end up in sales.

It is much easier to sell a "set" package than trying to customize something to each site and hope that they will purchase.

You're right there some work would not end up being paid but you would get better results with the less experienced clients I'd say.

The problem with offering a service that starts from you telling the potential customer where they rank and then offering to improve that is that you won't get the same ranking data that they do themselves.

With localization and the variety of universal results being shown depending upon search history or IP, it's a tough starting point.
