Just a quick one guys (possibly a stupid one!).

Does search volume effect SEO competition.

As in a 50,000/month keyword and a 5,000/keyword?

So if page 1 for both searches have very few backlinks, no PR etc. are they really the same competition or is the fact that the search volume is higher matter?

Thanks

Higher search volume usually means tougher competition.

But not necessarily?

Indeed. However when you stumble across such exceptions, usually they aren't valuable keywords, meaning low Adwords competition, low CPC and such.

High search volume denotes high competition in most cases, but in some cases, for example, keywords connected to trending topics, the search volume to competition ratio can be disproportionate.

Yes, if the keyword has business value.
You know not all the keyword is not Profitable.
The Much Value, The More Competitions.
