Hey,

I've developed a tool that can do some keyword competition research for you and I will release this here for free.

Currently it is able to get:

  • number of global searches/month
  • number of searchresults
  • how high adwords estimates the competition
  • the trend graph
  • urls of the first 10 google results (all google domains/languages are selectable) and it gets of this pages
    • PR
    • Yahoo Backlinks
    • if the title/description/URL contains the keyword

If you have some suggestions for additional features, just tell me and I will try to add them.

It's still a little bit buggy and slow, I guess I will finish&release it tomorrow and may add some features.

I've tried to add this, for some reason the Google TrafficEstimator site was down for me today but it is easy to add if it works again!
 
Looking forward to testing this out.

My suggested features would be to include:

- "keyword" in quotes total
- allintitle:keyword or intitle:keyword totals
- allinanchor:keyword totals
- localized results

First, thanks for sharing your tool.

I tried to test it out, but had a few issues.

It crashed the first time I tried to use it after I denied access to: fd.4d.84ae.static.theplanet.com 174.132.77.253
Is there a reason it needs to communicate with that server?When I ran it again, everything seemed to load ok in the top section, but at the bottom where it asked for the captcha, it disappeared after I entered the captcha.
I tried to run the search again, but nothing loaded at the bottom.

When I expanded the window to get a better view, I noticed some extra buttons on the right side. Are they supposed to be there, or were they left there on accident?

So I guess I haven't been able to do a proper test yet.

On a visual/usability side note, it would be good if you could see what the column headers say by hovering over them, since they don't properly fit in the space provided without expanding them individually.

This allows me to stop people stealing my software (like they did with KSS here), I can disable it.

You have to enter the captcha for AdWords only one time that's why it appeared only one time.

I used the buttons for debugging and removed them in the updated version and made it possible to increase the size of the listview.
I don't know why the first version did not work for you but I hope this version works better for you ;)

It's nice. Very lightweight and portable, I'll use this on my mini pc.

Suggestion: maybe add keyword suggestions feature? also when i get the monthly searches data i get nbsp;. eg is the monthly searches are 1 600 it shows like this 1nbsp;600

But i have few questions...No Offense intended..

There are always some catch with your software. The last software of yours - the keyword suggestion one, needed people to enter their email for activation. And,you pulled down that tool after it was used by many people and instead developed a paid version and you sell that. I consider that to be like opting in for a sample report and later being sold via email.

Look at crazyflx,he releases a unique,never seen before software every week and doesn't bother capturing emails,protecting it from getting stolen and everybody appreciates that. That is a true share. Absolutely no strings attached.

I just hope this one is a true share and i am sure this is a great tool.

You are still giving us value and i really appreciate that. But,i just wanted to give you my sincere thoughts..
