SEO client refusing to pay. What to do?

I have a client that I did a months worth of work for with noticable results, and now they are refusing to pay? I don't want to sue, so what else can I do.

Do you not have a contract?
Why on earth didn't you have them pay upfront which is the norm in this industry?
Rank a site one place above them for the same keywords displaying the proof they
are non payers.

have you officially gotten a deposit or confirmation from them that they hired you before you start work?

If you do, you have every right to charge them and tell them if they don't pay, you will lodge a complain to their local business bureau.

and if they still don't pay, you can get them banned or deindexed on google yea?

If he refuses to pay you can't do much besides sue or just take it as lesson learned and start requiring money up front.

Should have done linkbuilding to a domain with a 301, so you can remove the redirect if there's any problems.
