SEO Career Advice Needed

Hi,

I just finished engineering. I learned some stuffs in SEO, and I have also created some blogs..

I saw some companies are hiring people for positions like SEO analyst. I would like to work on jobs something like these..

Can i try to join as SEO professional or should I just go to software developing like every other computer engineers?

And I'd also like to know what is the normal pay for these jobs... If you are already working as seo professional or having good knowledge this field, please tell me your opinion.

Gowtham could be from india or something and as you know its hard learning another lanugage. Have some respect for people


@ Gowtham - If you can get an engineering job in the UK then that would be good. But SEO can mainly be an online thing so you can work from home and earn lots.

@OP -

Read, read, than apply test retest make money - patience and persistence.

Getting a job works for a start, but if you want to get ahead take initiative.

My best advice for you dude is start somewhere. Get your first client(s). make yourself worthy to be paid in your services. always over deliver your performance and of course build as many portfolio sites as possible.

If you get your first client your mindset must be help him/her get what he/she want. Your earning will be just a natural thing.

a good future depends on desire, dedication,....
 
Good future? If you have great knowledge in seo, you can create your own future, by getting clients yourself, Instead working for some companies.

But if you wanna, gain some experience in seo, its better join some company without worrying about pay, gain knowledge, quit and start your own concern.
 
btw, may i know which company recruiting for seo analyst?
 
if you are from india then go for s/w development... seo companies dun pay much in india... to be very honest, its ironic that usually most of the companies in india dont pay much and expect their employees to slog their asses off for 12-14 hours...

In the metro areas of the US:

  • $30K-60K is entry level (meaning you know what you are doing, but you don't have professional experience.)
  • $60K-90K is mid level (meaning you have a proven track record that is verifiable in the SERPs and with references.)
  • $90K-150K is high level (meaning you dominate anything you target and haven't demanded commissions.)
  • $150K+ At this level you would be a fool to not get a piece of the action. Owner or partner in the business OR commissions on sales.
