SEO Article Writing Work is GONE

Back 2-3 months ago, you could go online and tons of people would be looking for SEO Articles to be written.

This is what I did for a living pretty much.

This isn't the case anymore though.


I am guessing people either publish not so great work, but do it themselves, to lower the cost, but I am not sure.

Anyone else notice this at all?

Guess people are using spinner scripts nowadays, you can make several articles in a few steps

Yeah, I figured it was something like that.
I mean, they can make them quickly and much more cost effective.

But ... wasn't QUALITY what everyone wanted.
I remember people that could have easily bought The Best Spinner or a software like that, but chose to pay $5-$10 PER article for quality.


Just seems that isn't the case anymore for some reason.
 
I think what you may be noticing is that many of the clients were those who were created massive number of "one-off" adsense type sites where they could typically rank for a low competition term with a few articles and slap adsense or w.e on it. Now after the mayday signals update, this whole strategy has taken a hit or at least, people now believe this not to be a viable method and so many people have stopped and moved on to other ventures.

This may be the reason why the demand for such services have appeared to fall.

This is all speculation, though.
 
Your just going for the wrong market!

People always need seo articles... think about your price point, what else your offering and who you are wanting as clients!

Personally me and my partner shed out around $2000 a month just on outsourcing article writing alone.

What was the going rate you were writing articles at? Who is your competition and maybe you are (now) searching for work in the wrong places?!
 
Much like anything the trends will change. Yes spinners are definitely becoming more and more popular and yes they still cannot create quality content like an individual with knowledge on a certain topic. But again, don't just pigeon hole yourself into doing one kind of thing on the net because that doesn't last long. If anything you might be able to get 1-4 years with something but at the rate that everythings is moving now you definitely need to re-evaluate your options of business ventures.

Now I sometimes write 400+ word articles for $2.50 and a percentage ad revenue, but they aren't required to meet strict standards. And honestly, I'm still being underpaid. It's amazing that people are writing 500 word articles for $2 and putting considerable effort into the work. Are you getting full rights?

I wouldn't reduce your fee if you were making that beforehand. Did you have repeat business from clients? If so, you must have been making them money. I'd suggest setting up a site and hosting your own articles. Selling your articles on more websites might help, too, as it's possible your sources of clients are the problem rather than the demand decreasing.
 
Well there are so many options, why get 3 articles, when you can easly spin one and get 5. Quality is only important to the step of getting the article approved.
 
Well I didn't write for that, I am just saying, people did and COULD. I wrote for $3 on anything 500 words or less.

Just seems rates are not even worth it IF you can even find work.

You should think 'dual use' in writing content. Write SEO articles for $2 (announce it as a sale), with the understanding that this rate is for bulk output (20 articles or more) and you reserve the right to resell as PLR or repackaged as an ebook. Build rep and itrader until you can demand the rate you really want on a regular basis. Another approach would be to just write regularly for Textbroker at the level 3 or 4 level, thereby commanding $4+ for articles anyway.
 
Why are you going cheap?

Offer high quality and converting articles and charge a higher price! Your writing the same amount and offering the same service but with greater knowledge and something better for a slightly higher price.

There is a whole different market out there for professional copy/content writers that pays very, very well. You have to have a good portfolio for credibility and get clients that have quality websites. They do not hire cheap writers.
 
you can go on odesk and elance and look for people that are looking for it :)

I am still set on doing anything 500 words or less for $3.

I am going to try a little harder to find work, I think I can do a little better than I have been.

article spinners can give u same theme content but for new fresh content you must have to write a new article
 
Why don't you start writing articles for yourself. That's where the real money is.
