what do you guys think about using the same template for multiple websites (seo wise) ? do you think it has any negative effect ?

Themes sold on Themeforest are used on thousands of different websites. It's okay, you can use it too.

If you’re meaning can you use the same physical design template, yes. It has no bearing on your SEO.

If you mean the same content template, as in, the same words on the page, no. You shouldn’t.
