SEO and similar content: penalized by Google?

I scraped some articles, spun text and rewrite some parapgraphs. When doing a plagiarizing check at quetext.com I get less than 10% matches on articles original sites. Is that percentaje enough not to get penalized by Google? If not, what is the magical number? Thank you!

Same question here, just a 10% similarity and google rejected my application, referred it as copyright (scrapped content)

check that content with Copyscape Premium. if you found any result, rewrite that sentence by changing a word. then you will get unique content for your blog

What I think about this is writing almost the same article on another page with just few phrase change or sentences change without adding value to it. Like maybe that page has 10 sentences and you spun and rewrite and still get 10 sentences or 11 or less to 9. It will still be copyright content. Google can read. So they believe its the same thing you are talking about in your write-up. You need to add more paragraphs to it and make it like 15 sentences or more. I am just using 10 and 15 sentences as example. Hope this helps

If you have unique content as well in your site, you won't get penalized for few articles with 10% similarity but if all the contents in your website are spun, you may get penalty and also if some chance your site triggers the algorithm for a manual check, then definitely you will get penalty. Play safe.

Might be worth rewriting the articles so that they come out as original content.
I'm sure it won't take long.
Is it worth risking a penalty?

You won't get penalized but your site metrics will drop
