SEO and Hosting companies

I would appreciate any opinions between seo/hosting packages at host gator, network solutions, page and 1&1? who do you think has better customer service or a better price and value?

I have never used any of these services personally however I took a look at what they have to offer. It seems like they are offering some pretty basic services that could easily be done on your own if you did a little reading. Of course they aren't charging that much but (just like with a lot of other things) you get what you pay for. For instance GoDaddy's plan is 2.99 a month for a year but all they do is give you a list of keywords, make you a site map and probably give you some mainstream recommendations for your site. I would not pay for stuff like this (unless of course you just don't want to deal with it).

BY contrast, network solutions plan is 50 bucks a month (a little bit more of a commitment) and they claim to offer a little bit more. They are promoting a backlink building service but it doesn't mention the quality of sites they are building backlinks on or if they are related to the website of their client. Looks like they provide you a little dashboard for tracking as well.

In my opinion, if you don't know anything about SEO and you don't want to learn and you are tight on funds, something like network solutions offers may be ok for you. I would suggest learning yourself because it is super easy to perform some simple tasks once. For example generating a good list of keywords, placing them in the architecture of your website, submitting your site to webmaster tools, submitting a sitemap, creating some external properties and social media accounts won't take you that long and isn't that complicated.

You can figure out which has the best price by looking at their websites. 1&1 has horrible support.

I've been with Hostgator for the last few years and their fantastic.

I guess they are all pretty basic stuff for SEO. You might need much more than that to get good in search engine rankings.

I also got a friend who owns a hosting company and offers pretty good service for a few extra bucks and its seo optimized hosting. A new of its own kind. PM me if you wanna know more about it.

I would definitely stay away from anything that has "SEO" in their hosting package names - they are most likely on G's radar and those IP's most likely are on heavy blacklist just because of all the "linkvines" and other blognets being there at one time or another...

+1 for Host Gator. They support cant get better than this one. They are awesome superb...and some other good words

Hello, i have just recieved an e-mail from hostgator, that is my hosting company +1 for them, about their offer SEOGears starting from 14,99$. I was wondering has anyone tried their service and how good is it, what do they offer etc.?

yes hostgator. stay with them. you won't go wrong.

The biggest problem I see with these in house programs iss that they will suggest keywords that are easy to rank for and have no traffic. That way they can say they ranked you for a business related keyword.

I recently took over an account from homestead that was charging my client $100 a month for SEO service. All they did was add a few keywords into t e description of the page, and built a few links (in 2 years of her having that service, they had build less than 20 links. )

She told me that when I took over her SEO, I tripped her income in 3 months. All I did was find some good keywords, introduce them into her pages and did some basic local directory listings with the descriptions and information I developed.

As far as I am concerned, the in house services of these hosters are designed to part ignorant people with their money, much like the Warrior Forum.

I do not use these services myself, but I have customers who tried various ones out and were not served well. None of my customers were using hostgator for SEO, so I cannot comment on hostgator itself.

I've used HostGator hosting in the past and found them to be pretty reliable. Often people's complaints about them stem from them not reading and obeying the ToS/AUP (not always, but most complaints I've seen seem to follow that theme).

Definitely Hostgator for all your money sites for reliability and support.
Been with them for about a year now and many more to come.

I would also suggest Hostgator since they are reliable and their support is top notch.

I use hostgator and it is definitely one of the best hosting companies out there.

-1,000,000 for 1&1 oversold and don't deliver what is promised in the official package description. Impossible to cancel account ... promises lies etc.
