SEO after 301 to new domain name

Hi,

I SEO my one website (A), and some keywords are on #3-#6 on google, and past month I decide to change my domain name, and I do 301 from A into new domain name (B).

After 1-2 weeks, of course my B site has the previous A ranking (#3-#6).

But...I still keep GSA + link build my A sites, and recently I do link build for B sites (still no gsa), and that makes my B sites ranking drop into page 2....after 1-2 weeks which is now, my ranking still sit on page 2.

My question is, after doing 301 to your new sites, should you "stop" all of link build on old sites (A) and start focus on new site (B)

I would give it a week or two more to see if it's just dancing or lost some rankings. Usually, it wouldnt make sense for anyone to link to a 301 (when was the last time you linked to a 301). Whoever opens the link gets redirected to the new site, so it seems like a red flag. That's why guys doing 301s first set up content, blast domains, then 301 them to their site.

I would never build to the old domain, simply because this is the domain with the hit.

If you 301 the old domain to your new one. Your new one starts to rank. You push your new domain with PBNs, your new domain tanks because of the 301. Remove the 301, and you still have your new PBN links. If nothing picks up. 301 your original 301 to a new domain again, then your second domain that you built PBNs to, 301 that too, to your now new domain.

why need to remove 301 after new domain gets the old ranking? my previous PBNs links to my old domains, should I changed those links into new domains? or I need create others PBN for new domain and leave the old one to the old domain?
