ok so my domain is 3 weeks old it has 1000 backlinks that google reconizes (should be about 3000 really) and alot of unique content if i get 5000 backlinks to it in a matter of a couple days (forum sigs ect) will it get sandboxed? theres alot of unique content on it and no advertisements as of yet so im just wondering if google will sandbox it? your feedback is appreciated

are you sure? its just that i started back at i.m in jan as i had a year off and this site is everything i have i cant afford for it to get sandboxed and thanks for your feedback btw anyone alse have any views on this? sorry the more opinions the better just for ease of mind lol
OP, be careful! I had tons of unique content and Google didn't like the fact my domain got over 30k backlinks (homepage and internal pages) in less than a week. Right now my site has tons of indexed pages but it ranks in the 200-400 range. I don't think I will see my domain on page 1-2 anytime soon...

Don't build too much links on your new site, just wait 3 months or 6 months! Populate it first with good contents then do moderate backlink to each of your page. Or you can use buffer sites, like web 2.0 and do mass backlink on it.
For me, what you've done is not seo wise! Google gonna see your site unnatural later on so be very careful.

Simply put, if something you're doing worries you, stop doing it.. if you are driving 50 mph over the speed limit, but are worried about getting pulled over, ease back on the throttle a bit.
That said, whatever rate you start blasting your site at should be on a continual basis. Otherwise, it looks rigged and you will get sandboxed.. if you do, keep going at the rate you are, and you'll come out of the sandbox eventually, possibly stronger. If you stop, you will be buried for quite awhile, until you slow down and take it slow and gradual. Leave the megablasting to the dispensable web2.0's!

Ranking on page 200 to 400 doesn't mean google didn't like your backlinks. Maybe google just doesn't like the quality or content of your site. People are always posting random time periods of wait 3 months, only build 741 backlinks per week etc. How about posting some REAL information here.
Natural Link Building? Forget about it. There is nothing natural about a site constantly getting 31 backlinks per day, or 500 per week or whatever. That just doesn't make sense. A natural website could get 5000 new backlinks from a hot news story, and 5 backlinks if the story is a dud. This is not guessing at googles algorithm, this is fact.
I build links at random stupid paces, stop completely, blast thousands more, stop completely etc. all the time. I have not seen any penalties from this. People sometimes mistake the fact that their website is garbage, or their competition is just much better for a penalty of building links too quickly.
Don't agree? Do an experiment and prove me wrong.

I wouldnt be that sure about that. I had 100% unique quality content on a 1 month old site, posted 1000 articles (same article, 3 links in it) on 1000 sites network, all at once. Traffic went from 10v/day to 300v/day then after 1 week dropped to zero and my site wouldn't even show up for the domain name.
@OP: At least vary the anchor text a lot or use the actual URL not keywords or use generic words like "click here".

That is hardly proof of anything. You don't post anything else about your site. We don't know the history of the site, we don't know the content, we don't know if you did any other link building.
My thoughts would be that Google was considering moving you into an authority position for your keywords, and their system did a review of where your links came from, and realized it was all completely duplicate content on every link page. It is like putting 5000 links on Malware sites and hoping for a good boost from google. It isn't necessarily the AMOUNT of links, but rather what kind of links, and where they are placed.
Also, 3 links from same site? Why? 1 site, 1 link. Don't need anything else. If you were doing it for direct clicks, you would have been better off using unique content on just a few article submissions.
Another thing to consider when it comes to getting "thousands of links fast" is blogrolls and recent comments widgets. Sometimes I drop a link in a comment, and that comment moves to the recent comments widget on EVERY PAGE of the site. This can mean 500-5000 links from 1 site in just a few seconds. Does every website that gets put on a blogroll or recent comments widget get "sandboxed"? NO.

If you aren't doing any onpage seo that could penalize your site such as tag stuffing, title stuffing, keyword stuffing, or have too many external links, etc. then you should be fine, so blast away with scrapebox, xrumer, etc
By "no time" do you mean a couple of months? It has been a month already.

I did the same thing 10 months before on other site and it propelled me from #50 to #1 for a competitive term. Seems Google did an algorithm change meanwhile.
The only other links I had were from 3 other authority sites in my market (2 were mine, on same IP).
Yes, by today's standards posting same article with same links on 1000 sites all at once is stupid. When I did it it wasn't. As I said, 10 months before this blast it worked.
Also, there is a chance that blog network might have been flagged by Google.
You are right, there is no way to pin point what made google penalize me. What I know is today I would never do something like that.
My point is, you can get penalized. So it is best to leave no footprints, grow over a longer period of time and do things smart not fast.

I've been sandboxed for backlinks but it was a pretty extreme case... Was about 250K in under a month. You can read about it in the google psych out thread... it was mainly fueled by casting a wide enough net in the right keyword niches to get a huge volume of scaper sites lifting my content in a short amount of time. But, as far as I can tell, time heals fast growth. Continuing to build sounds good to me. Definitely don't quit if you do get sandboxed... odds are you will come back out in a few weeks at a higher level. This is more of an issue for websites that are less than ten months old too. It is harder to trigger this with websites that have been around for a while... at least in terms of the longer term sandboxings.

I agree with this... I keep reading people saying to do the same amount every week to keep it natural when the internet doesn't work like that at all.
