SEO advice for my top site

It is an authority listed site for topmorpg and top morpg within google now but barely any page rank if any.

many back links, and pages listed.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, your site is no authority site. :rolleyes: I would work on creating some more text-content on the page. But as I see it, you just use a script for your site. Adjust the script, give Google some unique text content.

You could setup a blog on topmorpg.com/news and interlink it from your homepage or even post excerpts from the blog on the frontpage. You could use the blog for getting SMO traffic and getting personal bookmarks which you could submit your sites to.

Also, try to focus on keywords, which are not so competitive. Spend some time in researching. You will not rank on site 1 for "morpg" in the next year. Also, get a couple of strong backlinks (authority gaming sites with pr 3-4-5). When you cannot over good backlinks from other projects, buy some links, they are not that expensive.

The easiest way is to look at a good ranking domain with the same concept as yours and try to find out the secrets the person used. Backlink checks via Yahoo, special interlinking, content structures and so on.

And by the way: How do you monetize that site? Is it an affiliatescript or is it just the adsense earnings?

Maybe some others also have some good ideas...

an athority site to my understanding is one that they list the sub links beneath it on the #1 listing for your search term.

In which I am there for
top morpg #1 listing
morpg #2 listing
topmorpg #1 listing

Have had this now for almost a year.

but looking to get more respect from the engine.
and more organic traffic.

Will try things you stated as well.

You could expand on your meta tags/keywords for a start.
Great number of backlinks..but...the "weakness" appears to be the anchor text.
Mix it up with new keywords you think you can compete for.

do you use targetted keywords in anchor text of backlinks?

Of course..:)..the ones that match my meta tag keywords in my template and then sometimes long tail..
 
i suggest you join the link juicer. at least just for the first month, cause its free. you'll get lot of links with anchor text...

Sorry - but - PLEASSSEEEE - understand this - I am not being rude or cruel - but - authority sites already HAVE page rank - 2,3 or higher - that is what MAKES THEM AN AUTHORITY. Google's algorithim on whether a site is deemed an authority site or not is only one of the things which create its page rank. Others are one way links, the PR of the sites you are linking to as well as (the BIG one ) AGE. Most authority sites have been around for at least a year or two. Just look at any betting site, like usbet.com etc. You will see they are ALL old and ALL high PR, all authority sites in the true semnse of the word. If you are doing everything else right, like no duplicate content, alt descriptions on images, clean html, no faulty or mis repreenstative links etc then, in my humble seo ceo opinion there is probably nothing else you can do aside from keep adding backlinks and wait until your site shows some age. When it has been consistent enough for long enough it will be ## 1 all by its little selfish and you will not have to touch it. It will be in a class of its own

Build quality links as many as you can in a white hat way.It will make a great help to get high page rank or maintain your ranking if you're already on the top.

Btw you don't need many backlinks, I got a few backlink to my blogspot.
Spend about 1hour on getting the backlinks (all pr0) and now i have PR4 :)
Same for my twitter, had 8 pr0 backlinks to it, and now it's pr3.

So I suggest you make a blogspot too, it got only 4 articles, a week or two old and good PR, then you redirect it to your main site.

yes morpg is short for mmorpg

massive multiplayer online role playing games
shorted
multiplayer online roleplaying games

Where as morpg is easierly targeted as well ranking wise.
Now while the keyword depth for morpg is great in my site mmorpg will be spidered into the design shortly to target better as well.

Making blogs can be a good option to get backlinks.I must say you are lucky with all you PR on those sites.It varies depending on the article content and how it was made.
