Exactly the same as 2015 op! if you do white hat you don't have to care about google update or something like that plus I don't think G have make big change since 2015

Same as 2015 you can look on Keyword research and link building.
In 2016,Google update will not make any drastic change in SEO I think.
Use quality content with good keyword density.
