I cannot for the life of me get any of my web 2.0 profiles indexed.

I tried putting the links in my autoblogs but i got NOTHING. This week has been a bad week.

I guess Google's getting smarter.

I've been using Xrumer lately for building profile links and it continuously fails to deliver.

None, but none of those links ever got indexed.

I believe that mass forums profile links building can even hurt your rankings in time.

Al.

The ones i created seem to get indexed, but only a few not every single one of course, and it takes some time..

Do not take this the wrong way but when you say "indexed" you really mean indexed and not ranked right? I'm just asking because I get a ton of people that ask me about indexing and they all are confusing getting things indexed in Google with getting ranked in Google.

Anyways, RSS feed wok great for this. Use something like IceRocket to create an RSS feed from your web 2.0 profiles, submit that feed to RSS sites, and then ping.

This usually does the trick for me.

These days rss and ping does seem effective as before.

Rss and Ping has always been effective for me and is one of the easiest ways to get things indexed really quickly.

I have done that successfully too. It is still very effective :)

I can say ive had a lot of problems to lately getting profiles and anything else indexed.

I have put up rss feeds backlinked them but google refuses to index the rss feed even though its linked on my front page (pr2) aswell.

I have pinged the urls and they arent getting indexed either

Over the last 2 weeks 10k links have bin pinged and rss feeds and they are not getting indexed. I have about 250 indexed :S

Some of them have bin bookmarked and still refuse to get indexed. Same with the rss feeds. I guess its obvious why the rss feeds arent working if google wont index them.

The rss feeds themselves have bookmarks and submissions to 100s of rss submissions sites and still not indexed.

TBH if it was me and I was running google I wouldnt be indexing when someone pinged a link it seems a backwards step so if theyve stopped this then I dont blame them really.

I guess the indexing process is that your link is found when google comes upon that link when its spiders are caching the site its on. So in the case of profile links they are only being found when google is crawling and caching the user list.

Would explain rss feeds not being indexed if they are just being pointed to by rss services and google probably pays less attention to OBL from these services.

This is My current theory on the google indexing process

My site hasnt bin cached for 8 days so should be tomorrow then I believe google will index my rss feed as its linked on the front page.

sorry but im not going to go down quietly

if other people are getting "some" indexed.. i want SOME indexed too...

i even posted on my autoblog, i pinged it... im going to try the rss feed but i doubt it would do anything.... i really want to figure this out this is important!

i mean out of 60 posts i get nothing? thats ridiculous ... either im doing something wrong or google knows ?

The only thing I can think of is that i didn't use a proxy... but that shouldnt matter either

when was the last time your autoblog was cached do you know?

pinging is useless it does not work fact

Are the backlinks on high pr domains?

well if they are on senuke ya... some of them are pr 5 4 3 etc

it says it was cached may 5..... but when i check my logs on my cpanel it always says googlebot has visited ... multiple times a day.

Profiles have not for worked well for a while now. There are much better methods now.

I would like to know where you get your "facts" on pinging being useless because it works damn good for me. And I bet I'm not the only one.

google is no longer as dumb

Google has never really been dumb. They always catch on to things sooner or later.

You just have to know how to appear like your playing by the rules and they'll love you for it.

1 of the reasons is our forum, people from everywhere look here, FROM NEWBIES TO GOOG reps themselves. We have many discussions right out in the open,,. VIP's say move shit but.. nothing happens... what do you think will happen???. When they want to figure out what security measure to step up simply come right on over to BHW.. Sorry but true.

It all depends on how wisely you are doing. If everything in IM will be so easy, then life will not be so difficult. I also do the same method explained by Yukinari.. (creating feed and submision) and never had an issue

i think she is talking about submitting the RSS feed to RSS directories

Why would a Google rep need to look here to find out what people are doing? They must have extremely advanced tools for seeing where backlinks are coming from and identifying patterns. And I assume there is a team responsible for buying up all the SEO software and analysing how it works.

Google is always trying to walk the line of making themselves hard to game without creating too much collateral damage. Thats will always give a degree of flexibility and allow us to game the results to a certain degree.
