I have used SENuke for a number of years now and I have always been a fan of it. While it was expensive compared to other programs, there were constant updates and the support was always very good. In recent months though this has changed, the updates don't seem to be as frequent and the support has been poor.

For 3-4 months I have had a problem with my project not saving. This is a pretty fundamental flaw to say the least and one I would have thought that the SENuke team would be keen to solve. This appears not to be so though.

I have been put in touch with Dave at SENuke, one of their technical support team. He is very illusive and rarely replies to my messages. In fact I have to post on the SENuke forum for him to get in touch with me which is pretty poor service. About a month ago now Dave went on Teamviewer and had a look at my SENuke. He thought the problem was it being set to 32bit rather than 64. Although this improved things, it did not solve the problem. I spoke to him afterwards and emailed him a copy of the error message that kept coming up. I have not been able to get in touch since then. Given the £150 per month cost, waiting months for them to solve a pretty fundamental problem is not right.

Here is a copy of my thread on the SENuke forum - http://senuke.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26562

The reason for my post is twofold; I want to know if others are having the same problem with projects not solving. I would also like to make others aware who are considering getting SENuke.

I have been an Senuke user for years now and I do not have this issue with projects saving.

So this seems to be a problem that is unique to your situation.

It could well be unique to me. It could easily be a case of the settings on my SENuke being wrong. Nevertheless, I would have hoped that in 3 months, they would have got to the bottom of it or at least be trying!

    whoa whoa whoa.

£150? Not $150? Are you telling me you're paying $250+ a month for SENuke?

That's almost twice as much...How is this even legal? There are some international gaming companies that do the same thing, subscriptions are $30 or £30($50).

rugbyjack, look for alternatives. Until SENuke realizes how much money they're losing and how much they could make by keeping their software operational, up to date, and improve their support, they are in a precarious situation.

Sorry, I pressed the wrong key - I meant $150 per month not £150. It's actually $147 but you get my point nevertheless.

phew, ok! that's better, and yeah we're well aware of the price of SENuke, been using it since forever. It still has uses, but they could be doing so much more to stay competitive

try reinstalling your operating system, there might be something wrong that is causing this and just a good old reinstall might do the trick...

If your system has a good amount of RAM, say 8 GB, I'd try running the SENuke in a virtualbox.

-Try running as administrator first. Right click-> run as administrator

-If that doesnt work make a back up of your Senuke projuect file, whatever the hell its called. I havent used nuke in awhile, so i dont remember. Uninstall senuke and then re install it.

-If that doesnt work, try running windows update. You might be missing an update, which is causing problems with nuke.

-if that doesnt work, then pull that ol peace of crap computer that you have in your closet. Run nuke on that pile of crap and see what happens.

Thanks. I've tried all of that with the exception of running it on a different machine. The main reason I haven't tried it on a different machine is that I have a dedicated server that I run all my programs off. I don't want to mess about running SENuke on a separate machine for the sake of it. I would cancel my subscription and get Ultimate Demon or something similar if I was going to do that - this is probably what I will do anyway as I've had enough of the complete lack of service from SENuke.

I agree with you on that completely. For the price they are charging for nuke, you should get top of the line customer service. I bought a template of theme Forrest a year ago, the developer made an update that broke the template on my site. He logged into my site fixed the the template(in less than 24hrs mind you) and now its running great. That was amazing customer service in my opinion, and that was for 40 bucks one year ago.

Will I buy another template from that developer, sure will. Would I continue paying an assload for a broken program that isnt being properly serviced? Nope, I wouldnt.
