First off, its Senuke's policy to not discuss security features of SenukeX.
That said, we have always listened to legitimate feedback both positive and negative from the community, and we have always striven to keep our users happy. To that end, while I cannot confirm or deny any of the assumptions by the pissed off hacker that posted the original thread (ok, I will say that I am very happy we pissed that hacker off - serves the thief right.), I will say that there will be some minor changes to the way we save settings coming in the next week that will address those issues. As with other security changes however, an update will likely not be posted in the release notes.
One last note. While again I cannot confirm or deny how our security methods work, I will say that as things stand right now, even if I were to deliver our database directly to this pissed off hacker, he would not be able to view ANY personal data what so ever. The keys that he has so maliciously posted online are useless for information stored in our database. We do not store information carelessly - and tho I cannot give any further details right now, rest assured that we take your private data VERY seriously, and we always have and always will listen to and respond to feedback from the community.
Tho... I also urge people to not take the pissed off hackers posts seriously. While he has brought up a sensitive issue that may well need our attention, at the same time he is obviously a malicious hacker that has profited off of our hard work by selling illegal copies of Senuke, and is a bit irritated that he will no longer find that so easy. We will always attempt to stop thieves from stealing our software - not only to bring us new customers... in fact I would say that in my mind at least bringing in new customers is NOT the primary reason for securing the software - but to protect our sitelists from being spammed by people too cheap to pay for the software they use. That hurts our existing customers by making sites update faster against senuke, which to me is the greater cause for action.
If any existing customers have a legitimate comment on this issue, please do not hesitate to post it. However considering the nature of some of the... lurkers... here, I will not be wasting my time in responding to those that do not have current, active, paying accounts with Senuke. Again, just to be clear, we will not respond to, and will in fact probably delete most of, the posts by people who are not paying customers of SenukeX, as non-paying lurkers (e.g. pissed off hackers) have no right to speak either for or against any features of senuke, security based or otherwise.

Let's face it, SENuke isn't a super amazing programming machine... The guy wrote the software in C# using Visual Studio. Every Visual Studio app can be cracked extremely easily. On top of that, his protection (obfuscation) sucks. Past versions, I cracked SENuke myself within 5 minutes, every release. However, since they lack the high end programming knowledge, the data isn't safe on their server. Especially since the keys to reverse the encryption are located within senuke. Even if they had senuke grab the key from their server, a packet sniffer would catch it. Or modify senuke to spit it out. Even if they encrypt it, it has to be decrpyted at some point to use. So trusting your data in the hands of someone who really isnt that good at security, is a bad move.

Point is... Legit paying customer's data privacy is worth way more than preventing a handful of people from cracking senuke! There will always be cracks, and this version WILL be cracked too! Areeb is just a greedy tool.
