Did you know that in SEnuke's latest version, 2.6.* all of your configuration is now stored on SENuke's servers in their own database, with reversible encryption? This means all of your proxy information, TBS accounts, Article Builder accounts, and every preference you select in the configuration dialog is now stored directly on their servers every time you click OK in the configuration dialog. It is pulled down every time you start SEnukeX. Not only this but its not even stored securely. All one needs to reverse your config is Rijindael and the Key "lhirw6897+22#bbtrm88d4z5qq=448j5" with IV "7a19e2hheedy66#cs!9hjv8h7mxx****". In a world where WHMCS, twitter and facebook have been hacked so easily, do you really want all of your configuration being leaked by an SENukeX hack? Is any information sacred these days?

Tell SEnuke to revert back to local configuration files and save our privacy! Go to the SEnuke forum and tell them to allow us to save our configurations locally and not on their servers!!

So don't use SENuke if you are worried...Problem solved.

Everyone collects and stores information nowadays.

start a thread in their forum and ask why they are doing this...they could have other reasons for doing that we have not thought about...
 
Since you know more about the topic then myself make a thread and paste the link here, I'll give my vote for this to be reverted.
 
I don't know how to reverse engineer something like this, but why would Senuke X do that, storing information in their server instead of local configuration?

Is it a sort of security feature on their side?

What it would benefit for its subscribers?


...and yes, darkm0n, I think you should be the one explaining to them. It's hard to explain if we don't know anything what we're talking about.
 
I didn't know about this OP. Nice find. If they are doing this its a bad move.

I created a thread at SEnuke and it was deleted in less then 2 mins... What are they hiding over there at SEnuke ;)

Maybe they are doing it to stop cracked versions as you would need an account to access that stored data now?
 
I didn't know this as well. I'm voting for the local version.

That's not cool, maybe if we can get the masses to stand up and make a point maybe we can get an answer.

Hm, I think that is doubtful, senukex don't really need to take info. The motives behind them would be to get more people using software and bringing out more updates.

I think having these options in a database is a bit worrying but I don't think bad motives are behind it. They are probably just tired of all the cracked versions and are making it harder for people to use them :)

I don't have an autocaptcha solver, I solve it manually because, based on experience, captcha solvers often commit errors in SENuke X. Luckily, a friend has a license which he got from a crack, which shouldn't be a problem since people from SENuke can't trace that down.
 
They are doing it to stop the cracked copies. If I were a paying customer of SENuke, I would not be comfortable having all my data (proxies, tbs info, deathbycaptcha info, ect) stored on their server. It is a huge risk.

Let's face it, SENuke isn't a super amazing programming machine... The guy wrote the software in C# using Visual Studio. Every Visual Studio app can be cracked extremely easily. On top of that, his protection (obfuscation) sucks. Past versions, I cracked SENuke myself within 5 minutes, every release. However, since they lack the high end programming knowledge, the data isn't safe on their server. Especially since the keys to reverse the encryption are located within senuke. Even if they had senuke grab the key from their server, a packet sniffer would catch it. Or modify senuke to spit it out. Even if they encrypt it, it has to be decrpyted at some point to use. So trusting your data in the hands of someone who really isnt that good at security, is a bad move.

Point is... Legit paying customer's data privacy is worth way more than preventing a handful of people from cracking senuke! There will always be cracks, and this version WILL be cracked too! Areeb is just a greedy tool.
 
Even if they are doing it to crack down on cracked copies it is a HUUUUUGE risk.
