Sensitive content in short-form content

I have a lot of video footage lying around that I’ve been thinking about turning into short-form content. The issue is that a lot of the funniest or most attention-grabbing moments also include profanity, insults, and sometimes openly racist or discriminatory remarks from other people.

I’m trying to understand where the practical line is on platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.

For example:

* Is normal profanity usually fine if it’s partially censored in the audio and/or captions?
* If someone says a racial slur or hateful remark, is censoring it as something like “N*****” or bleeping part of the audio still risky?
* Do platforms generally treat censored hate speech as hate speech if the meaning is still obvious?
* Can one video with this kind of language hurt only that video, or can it affect the whole channel/account over time?
* How much does context matter if the creator is not endorsing the language, just documenting a real interaction?
* Does repeated exposure to this kind of language make monetization significantly harder even if it’s censored?

I’m less interested in the moral side and more in the practical/platform side:
what tends to actually be upload-safe, monetization-safe, and low-risk long term?

Would especially appreciate hearing from people with real experience dealing with this kind of content.
